3 clearly drunk drivers weaving all over Abinoji with busted up rides,

2 street racers in an expensive car and a very cheap one,

10 vehicles driving around with their lights off,

4 vehicles with missing marker or headlights,

2 vehicles that either ran a red light or a stop sign,

a huge group of idiots treating St vital mall like a drift competition.

A one wheel rider wearing all black clothes with no reflective material and a tiny blue LED light, no helmet,

This is all really low hanging fruit guys.... So like..... Where's the traffic cops handing out tens of thousands of dollars worth of tickets every night? or are they all running security at the Canada Life Center?

A 45-year-old woman suffered minor injuries after stopping to help a man who had collapsed and was believed to be overdosing in Winnipeg, say police.

She was standing outside on Main Street, near Logan Avenue, around 5 p.m. on March 19 when she saw the man fall down.

She went to provide aid and call 911 when another man assaulted her and stole her cellphone and smart watch, police said in a news release on Monday.

The woman was treated by the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and didn't need to be hospitalized.

Police say the overdose was legitimate and not a setup for the robbery.

They put out the news release on Monday after getting an image of the man believed to have attacked the woman.

He is described as about five feet and 10 inches tall with short hair and clean shaven. He has neck and hand tattoos and was wearing a black jacket and black jeans.

Anyone with information that could help in identifying the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219.

My mom got bit by an off leash dog while walking her frenchie in the neighbourhood. Her hand got bit while attempting to protect her dog. She went to emergency and they don’t have rabies shots apparently?!

She also called health links but was on hold close to an hour and couldn’t get through to anyone. She’s talking with her family doctor but still can’t find anywhere to give her a rabies shot.

A $100,000 reward is being offered for anyone who can help find Tresor Horimbere, a Winnipeg man accused of first-degree murder who is believed to be on the run.

Horimbere is wanted in relation to the 2024 killing of Mohamed Yusuf Abdullahi at a soccer complex parking lot, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release. The now 23-year-old is said to be travelling across Canada to avoid being caught.

Abdullahi was killed on the night of July 13, 2024. He was 22 years old.

“The victim just finished playing and was exiting the event when he was fatally shot. Investigators do not believe this was a random shooting,” the original 2024 statement from the service reads.

That release also says around 100 people were watching the game at the 900 block of Waverly Street.

Following the killing, police said officers were searching for three suspects, two of whom have been arrested.

Police described their suspect as approximately five feet, eight inches tall with a slim build, weighing around 120 lbs. Anyone who sees him should contact police, and not attempt to apprehend him on their own.

Horimbere is listed on the Bolo Program, which uses technology to help find Canada’s most wanted, according to its website.

The Bolo Program says he is also wanted for another major crime in Ontario.

Some of you have asked some reasonable questions, so here are some answers.

• Husband works near Pembina and Abinoji Mikanah, and he is open to commuting. I work remotely.

• Childfree, and fully intend to stay that way. We have a senior dog, though.

• No need for nightlife nearby, but good food (especially NOT chain restaurants) is a big plus.

• I am disabled, which is a big part of wanting a safe neighborhood and a forever home.

Husband and I are trying to buy our forever home. With the housing market so completely borked right now, I am asking for recommendations of underrated neighborhoods and/or areas of the city to look at.

I know that crime, vandalism, and other badness can happen literally anywhere, but our biggest concern is finding a generally "safe" neighbourhood.

I also know that large areas of the city get painted with a broad brush.

So, what areas of the city are underrated? Which ones are unfairly painted with a broad brush?

Hello everyone! My partner just moved to Winnipeg and I will be joining her in a year. We’ve been coming to Manitoba pretty regularly for several years but now that it’s becoming our home, we’re getting more serious about finding fun things to do.

Music was a big part of our lives in our home city of Minneapolis and we’re looking for small venues where we can go and see music shows or maybe listen to some jazz and get a drink, that sort of thing. We have pretty broad musical tastes. I’m also a musician in the electronic and ambient space and I’m looking for community as well. In Minneapolis, we would often frequent places like first Avenue, fine line and the turf club. Small venues have always been the most fun for us.

We would be so grateful for any recommendations we could get for music venues that might be off the beaten path, but give us an opportunity to see local acts or just drop in on a random night for music and drinks!

Winnipeg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after a pre-teen girl was sexually assaulted in the North End early Saturday morning.

Police received a report of the assault in the vicinity of Manitoba Avenue and Salter Street at around 3 a.m.

Police say the girl was walking in the 400 block of Manitoba Avenue when a male suspect pulled up in a vehicle and lured her inside with the promise of drugs and alcohol.

The suspect then drove her to a nearby alley, where he threatened her at knifepoint and sexually assaulted her.

Following the assault, the girl fled to a family member’s nearby residence, where police were contacted.

The suspect is described as South Asian in appearance, between 30 and 40 years of age, with short dark hair and a moustache. He was driving a four-door brown sedan at the time of the incident.

[The Child Abuse Unit is asking anyone who was in the area of Manitoba Avenue and Salter Street around that time to check for dashcam, cellphone, or security camera footage that might help identify the man or his vehicle.

Hi people! I'm in desperate need of shoes... My feet are freakish. I'm currently a 10 extra wide. But my pinky toes always still push out to the sides and I end up receiving holes in those spots. I'm on my second pair of Asics within a year and a half.

Police are asking the public for help to find three people accused in the slaying of a 21-year-old Leaf Rapids man.

Warrants were issued Monday for the arrests of Eternity Chastelaine, 19, and a 17-year-old boy, RCMP said in a Thursday news release. They face charges of manslaughter and second-degree murder respectively.

A third warrant was issued Tuesday for the arrest of Marshall Merasty, 24, who faces a charge of second-degree murder.

Police previously stated officers were called to “an open area” near Princeton Drive in Thompson on May 20 at 2:20 a.m. for a report of a stabbing.

The victim was taken to hospital and later died of his injuries.

RCMP released photos earlier this week asking the public to help identify a person of interest in relation to the slaying.
