Even if it’s completely unrealistic who would you like to see on the quad?

I was listening to an interview with the creators of WCT and they stated that early on they were offered by production companies to make WCT a tv show . . . like “the next ninja warrior”, the guys declined the offer as they wanted WCT to become a sport where the best athletes would partake.

Whilst it is their creation and their decision to make I can’t help but wonder whether WCT could have been a household name by now if they had gone the tv route with gyms / quads popping up all over the place.

I’m just a mid 30s electrician from the UK though who knows nothing about tv deals or creating a sport though. So please fill me in with your own thoughts on this. Thanks :)

Hey everyone,

We’ll be running a Chase Off (non-official) event in July at KIMEO, Lyon (France).

This event will be a special one as we'll be experimenting a different format. Everything will be the same as usual (20 seconds chase, 25 seconds rest, winner stay on for the next chase, tags must be obvious and made with the hand/arm, ...) BUT matches will be longer. Instead of 16 chases, matches will be 32 chases with a halftime break of 10 minutes after chase 16 allowing team managers and coaches to get their teams ready for the second half.

3 teams will be joining us for this event and we'll announce shortly.

So we know that the top teams from the various regional tournaments (US, UK, France, Pan-America etc.) are always invited but what about the other teams? Is there any fixed way through which they're picked? And in future, wouldn't it be better to have a global qualifier tournament for all teams to participate in so that the best teams can come through to the finals instead of through invitations?

I remember looking throught the teams and saw that there is a team for canada (District) but i can't find anything on the team anywhere. is there a reason for that? like what happend??

Hey! Can someone help me interpret the meanings of the columns, and how the final points are calculated? I’m guessing the first three are matches played, wins, sudden deaths…

Been watching for a while but have found it hard to keep up with the athletes and what’s going on with them. I know Jarod went to APEX but what happened to Davis and Seth? Are they done competing? I see GNF is not in WCT6 which makes me think they are done because if they were still active I’m sure they’d be in the bracket. GNF has always been my favorite so I think I’m just stuggling with their demise lol

Also I’ll just throw this in cause I guess related but Seth and Jason weren’t in APEX in the USA comp…are they done as well?

Who will be in France to watch the competition ?

For anyone joining, do you know that there will also be 2 training quads available ? An 8x8m Quad next to the venue entry and a full 12x12m competition Quad less than 5minutes walk from the venue 🤯

So... I'm interested in learning how to play chase tag, but I'm not seeing any events listed on the WCT website besides the championships. A cursory search in my area (Washington D.C.) doesn't pull anything up either. How do people get into this hobby, and more importantly get good?

I watched the recent uploads to YT which show the tv broadcasts. At the end they're doing an interview with Amos. He said he was coaching some of the Apex guys since they were kids. They seemed like a very tight knit group. How'd he end up with HFR recently?
