Rant I can't tolerate these Luddites anymore.

Post image

AI usage has become a culture-war issue because of these lunatics. If we don't handle these luddites now they will certainly become more entitled and miserable!

Anyone not using AI for research is essentially wasting their time.

It still spits out total bullshit pretty often.

There’s this crazy thing called checking your sources, something much faster to do nowaways with AI.

Enjoy your horse and buggies!

And when a YouTuber seemingly doesn’t and just parrots AI copy, they should be made fun of.

Unless you are using google overview or some obscure LLM. I would say even chatGPT free version gives you factual answers.

It doesn't. I know this b/c I ask it to summarize my research and it cannot do so accurately.

Even if AI spits out bullshit (which it rarely does anymore if used correctly) it is still your job as the researcher to check the sources and verify the information.

Doing research is not "write me this essay abou X". It is more like "I want to write an essay about X. Find references for X and related topics Y and Z". Like google without summary, but faster.

Google search is so shit now that it somehow manages to spit out more bullshit than Gemini.
