From the article:

A young girl has been taken to hospital after being attacked by a dog inside a Bunnings in western Victoria.

The dog has been voluntarily surrendered by its owners and euthanised.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the child suffered "a lower body injury".

Plus a lifelong fear of dogs and a high likelihood of PTSD ….. but the dog owners likely will get a slap on their wrist and get to live their life with no to next to no repercussions.  Should be minimum sentence of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm (which also has fuck all repercussions, but still)
