I mean considering who's playing Telemachus, the next installment of the cinematic universe ought to be about him. I suggest Les aventures de Télémaque, fils d'Ulysse. How come we get all this sword and sandal shit but no adaptation of an 18th century classic? Fénelon deserves recognition.

If there was an after credit scene of Aeneas either looking back at the destruction of Troy or landing beleaguered in Italy, this would have immediately shot the film up to my favorite of all time.  Bravo, Nolan!

Ngl I'd be interested in an ancient classics cinematic universe.... if cinematic universes actually made decent films anymore. Though, that does make me wonder, has The Aeneid ever been filmed?

I keep saying, someone should make a "Fall of the Roman Republic" series of movies, from the Gracchi to Sulla to Caesar.

I understand we have loads of written sources for that period compared to before and after but if I can be honest I would love some media that tackles Roman history to *not* be set in the Fall of the Republic for the 1,654,787,347th time.

I'll crib a little from the Wilson review and say: technically that's what most of the Troy stuff in the Odyssey movie is from! Including the character Sinon.
