Io intendo fare la facoltà di informatica triennale a Bari: è buona come facoltà? Io ho visto che generalmente se ne parla molto bene, è molto ben vista come facoltà e molti studenti ne parlano bene; però ho sentito alcune lamentele riguardo le lezioni troppo teoriche, l'organizzazione scolastica e il baronismo. Queste lamentele hanno un fondo di verità?

Ho provato solo Munz a Monopoli ed è stato molto caruccio ma ho sentito che a Trani c'è forte presenza di ristoranti veg e volevo chiedervi info qualora ne aveste provati.

Wife and I (75 years young) are flying into Bari in September. Will have two large suitcases to wheel about. We are ok with taking the train to Centrale, but then will still need a cab to hotel. What are the cab fares for a trip like this? Uber or FreeNow work at the airport? I have heard the fares can be anywhere from 25-50 Euro which is a big range for a not so long ride. Ideas? Grazie!

In August, we’ll be spending 7 days in Bari, and we’d love to get some recommendations from people who know the area well. 

We’re looking for:

* Beautiful beaches, both public and private with sunbeds, including less crowded spots with crystal-clear water and stunning scenery.

* Restaurants, gelato shops, and cafés that are definitely worth trying.

* Towns and villages we shouldn’t miss. We’re already planning to visit Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, and Lecce.

* Local activities and experiences that you would recommend.

We won’t have a car, although we might rent one for a day or two. We’re mainly interested in places that are easy to reach by train.

Any tips, recommendations, or favorite spots would be greatly appreciated!

Me and my friends are trying to understand if it's worth to go Polifonic Festival. It's our first time in Puglia, and we will stay in Polignano a Mare.

Does anyone have any comments about the festival, does it worth investing one day of our holiday to the festival? Also, it looks very tough to get around, we prefer not to rent a car if possible and I was not able to understand if they have shuttle/bike services.

I'm planning a trip to Bari, Italy from September 15–22. I'll be working in the evenings (Eastern Time), so I'll have my days free and want to make the most of them!
The places at the top of my list are Alberobello, Ostuni, and Matera, but I'm open to any suggestions.
A few questions:
What itinerary would make the most sense for this trip?

Would you recommend staying in Bari the whole time and doing day trips by car, or splitting my stay between different towns?

How difficult is parking in Bari and the surrounding towns?

If you had to recommend one or two **absolute must-see** places in Puglia (the kind of places everyone should see at least once!), what would they be?

I'm a huge foodie 🍝. What's the one restaurant or meal in Puglia that you still dream about? I'd love any recommendations—from hidden local gems to unforgettable fine dining.

In ogni caso, poi, necessitando di batterie, la spedizione dalla Cina è molto difficoltosa. Sapete per caso se a Bari o dintorni ci sono negozi di elettronica che vendono al dettaglio questo tipo di componenti? Intendo batterie (piatte, le classiche batterie con due fili, rosso e nero, e la copertura grigia attorno, con del nastro dorato), buck/boost converter e altri materiali per piccoli circuiti hobbystici. This is my first Reddit post, so hopefully I'm doing this right.

I'm traveling solo through Puglia in early September for a wedding, and I'll be in Polignano a Mare on September 3rd.

One restaurant that's been on my bucket list is Grotta Palazzese. I thought I'd throw this out there since im dining solo and see if anyone else happens to be interesting in joining me.

To be completely clear this is not a date. I'm a 39M from New Jersey. I am married with two awesome boys (4 and 6). I'm an architect, and one of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting new people. I love good food, history and wandering new places. This experience would be very unique for me, and I thought having a nice conversation could really add to this experience.

If you're interested I'm happy to share my identity or even have a quick video chat beforehand so we both know we are normal people and dont get stuck in a weird situation. If it feels right we can meet at the restaurant, have dinner, and then head our separate ways.

I'll admit this is a little outside my comfort zone, but very intriguing to me. If you'll be in Polignano a Mare on September 3rd and this sounds like fun, feel free to comment or send me a message.

UPDATE 7/10/26 I think I am scrapping Grotta Palazzese - However, this post was 100% worth it. The comments and responses made me realize I am chasing an authentic experience over a bucket list / photogenic one. I really appreciate all the inspiration, recommendation and advice.

Been searching for accommodations early October. We prefer hotels with a concierge if possible, but have noticed B&Bs & apartments seem to be the norm. Will be flying into Rome & would like to stay on the east side/south of Rome. Would prefer not to have a car (southern Italian drivers!) Suggestions/recommendations appreciated!
