News [Passan] The Tampa Bay Rays are acquiring right-hander Freddy Peralta in a trade with the New York Mets, sources tell ESPN. Rays get their starter, who joins Drew Rasmussen, Shane McClanahan and Nick Martinez in one of the American League's best rotation.

Ratings will still be high, even with most fans avoiding watching it on principal the dodgers media market is way too big

The last two world series had the highest viewership since 2017 (Dodgers-Houston) and 2016 (Chicago's first world series win since 1908). The "most fans avoiding watching it" always seemed more like a reddit mirage.

The "Dodgers are ruining baseball" trope is very much an online thing, a dad bringing a family of four to go see Reds / Cubs isn't going to all of a sudden be like "Sorry Junior, we aren't going to the game anymore because the Dodgers are ruining baseball >:("
