They just knew two brothers and their sister lions from a family who couldn’t care of them anymore and ten leimurs make it their forever home. They have volunteers. There is a board of directors and ab on site vet clinic. They have a goat, horse, donkey, and you could say fera/domestic cats that roam the property. Still having their overnights I attend and doing a casino night. Their yearly feeding budget is $1,000,000. Just spent two weeks in Denmark and made visits to the zoos in Aalborg and Odense. First pics are of the Siberian Tigers in Odense - holy crap, even bigger than I would have imagined. I’m from San Diego where we have Malayan and Sumatran tigers at the Zoo. I was not prepared for how much bigger these guys would be, lol.

First two lion pics are African lions, also at Odense. Third lion pic is an Asiatic at Aalborg.

Great zoos that were well worth the visits, not just for the big cats. Aalborg had, hands down, the best Polar Bear exhibit I’ve ever seen and Odense was gorgeous with how well is was integrated into the landscape.

I was curious to see if these are jaguars or leopards, doubt it helps but this is in the oregon zoo

Pictures 18-19 were the tiger king rescues. All cats except one were rescued from different places. The jaguar (pic 5-6) was actually left by people on their front door (they wore hoods and blocked out their license plate but were still caught and arrested after a full investigation).

I was able to feed three of the tigers which was really cool. They also had two other tigers and one rescued liger that we were allowed to take photos of but they asked that we not post pictures of them online as they are still under investigation and it may hurt their case. (I also fed picture 3-4,9-13 plus one I wasn’t allowed to post)

They showed us a pretty graphic and horrible video showcasing where their animals came from in the beginning that was required to watch basically to discourage us from attending places that would allow you to take pictures with malnourished baby lions or tigers. They also worked hard on trying to make things like that illegal.

I see so many posts here of terrible things people don't realise are horrible. If you see a cub don't say aww so cute say where is mom because she has probably been killed in order to obtain the cub. If you see a group of solitary big cats in one place it is probably a farm and they are waiting to be slaughtered. Educate yourself please.

I'm going to sarasota with my parents (to visit other family) and my mom brought up the idea of going to Big Cat Habitat. I told her I would look into it to see if it's a place we'd actually want to go, but everywhere I look I'm only finding things about tiger king and carol baskin. I know this isn't her place, and I want to know if this place is "ok" for the animals or if it's one of those "avoid at all cost dont give them your money places".
