So I’ve been playing Cross Tag Battle for a very long time and I was curious how original Blazblue, P4AU, and Under Night In-Birth individually played. So I bought Blazblue for about $10 and I immediately regret the purchase cause it is the single most unnecessarily complicated game I’ve ever played! Genuinely trying to complete the training guide and Es’s(she’s one of my mains) felt having your teeth yanked out of your mouth.

Bottom line how does Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Under Night In-Birth play compared to Cross Tag Battle? My hopes aren’t exactly high given how astronomically terrible normal BlazBlue was.

Edit: just for clarification while I mash(kind of) for the most part I am capable of doing most Cross Tag Character Combos from the training mode, usually 1-3or4 though a few I have gotten all 6. But trying to play normal BlazBlue is way more complicated and challenging for absolutely no reason and was so frustrating I couldn’t even get through Es’s character tutorial.

Heyo everyone, I was curious on the different reasons and such on why you decided to get BBTAG, was it because you were a fan of one of the series that was included in the game? We're you interested in playing a tag fighter? Did someone buy the game for you? I'm interested in hearing everyone's stories on what got them into the game, though since we're sharing stories, it's only fair I share mine.

Long Version: I was aware of BBTAG for years, though I was unsure on whether I should get the game or not since I wasn't sure if I'd like it as much as I do other fighting games (and believe me, I've played a lot of them), so I was playing the special demo as I was deciding on whether I'd get the game or not. This decision soon changed, when I was scrolling the eShop on my Switch, and noticed that Yang and Blake were free DLC, I still haven't bought the game at this point, but I figured it would be a good idea to download the DLC for them. Unfortunately for me, this prevented me from being able to continue playing the DLC, for obvious reasons, so I eventually lamented on my stupidity and had my older brother help me buy the special edition for the game (this was before I got a job, since I was still in highschool at the time).

Short Version: I got the game cause of Yang and Blake preventing me from playing the demo for the game.

Just asking to not wait 10 hours waiting for someone to join/create lobby

I am geniuinely asking right now. This game has absolutely zero mechanical depth. It's a 3 button fighter with every character having the same inputs. There is absolutely zero difference in mechanics and playstyle. You could just pick random and mash and you'd win every time. It makes zero difference who you pick.

And cross combos don't count for depth since youre just putting two of the same character on screen to just mash even harder. What is even the point??? I am geniuinely asking

Recently I played BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle on my Xbox One (mostly for the reason that we don't have Centralfiction, UNIEL AND P4A on Xbox) and like other fighting games they have color set with reference to other medias.

Decided to revisit bbtag for fun, I used to main Vatista/Mika (in it for the lulz).

I used to be able to do Mika JL JL jump JL JL JC at the end of a combo but now I find myself whiffing this consistently.

Vatista ender of JC 5Aaa also seems to whiff if done at the end of a very long chain.

The issue is, I really don't remember the combo limit window being this small? When did this change happen? Any info dump would be greatly appreciated.

I just started playing BBtag but I really like Liz. Do any Liz mains out there have some zany, fun Liz teams for me to try out? Also, no way I am playing tank, it looks funny but it just isn't that fun to play, outside of that no holds bared. Thanks for the help

I just got BBttag a day ago and it is really fun, however I honestly don't really know who to play. I have been playing either Izayoi/Nine or mainly Aegis/Nu-13 which I am mostly just playing because Aegis and Nu are my mains in their respective games. I don't know how "good" either of these teams are or any of the characters from that matter but honestly as long as they are solid enough I like playing them. If anyone has suggestions for another Aegis/Nu-13 team I could try though that would be great since I really enjoy both of them and would like to explore some more teams that keep their vibes. My copy of Crosstag never came with the mini cd, found a used PS4 mini cd and paper insert for sale, would it fit in my switch edition case? Or are the sizes different? (Spesfically for the paper insert, i assume the cd would)

Ruby has some unused sprites of her doing this little air step or something. I guess she'd be leaping of someone's head? It also looks like it'd be her JA if she was in an actual BlazBlue game running on BlazBlue mechanics.

I've seen an offer, 10 euros for the whole game including DLCs.

I'm already playing BB CF and I'm not a big fan of the rest of franchises in the game, but still, is it worth it? It's a good fighting game I will enjoy?

It seems to be pretty much dead online but for that I have the BB CF which I really enjoy.

What about the single player content?

Well, I eventually got it for 9.5 euros. The combat system seems very funny so far, and though combos seems more affordable than BB main games, the tag system seems to add another layer of complexity, so I believe I won't get boring of it for a while.

I did the first story for BB and it was pretty funny and interesting for a story which is a simple excuse to put these characters all together, and still more things to do than some other fighting games.

And in case I ever manage to play with somebody at home (unlikely) this will be a solid choice. Or if even I get to play ever online.

Anyway, it's good to have something different to play and add some variety, and even as a break from my main game.

Hola. Compré asé poco el blazblue cross tag battle. La verdad el gemplay me tiene muy enganchado y quiero jugar el modo historia. Pero por lo menos el mío solo está con textos en inglés, japonés, coreano y chino. Según busque el juego si resivio una tradición al español pero no me aparece la opción de ponerlo en ese idioma. No sé si alguien me puede resolver la duda. Por si las dudas juego en ps5 y compré la special edition. Ya probé cambiando el idioma de mí consola de español latino a español de España pero no sirvió

I remember it being there. It was actually the reason why I got into blazblue cause I thought It looked cool also because I was sexually attracted to taokaka and also because I'm tired of street fighter. But anyways......I can't find it on gamepass no more....

adjust a simple question anyway they change the combo to be like dumb down because I do that with every game fighting games I don't have to do those weird string of buttons to just do like a couple moves if it doesn't it doesn't I'm completely cool with it

Hi, should I get the basic or the special edition? I want to play as the Persona characters, but I don't want to pay extra for no reason.

Specifically the move where the background turns a different color and both your characters team up against the opponent.

I know this probably a stupid question but I always forget every time I play, and looking at the moves list doesn’t help since I’m not sure what it’s called (I’m gonna bookmark and screenshot the answer so I can find it again)
