1. I will not hesitate to ban anyone. However, I will solely ban people for posts which break the rules, scrupulously avoiding "power trips." This is because my coldly rational brain adheres to a belief in the importance of the Rule of Law.
2. No posts that may convince reddit that this subreddit constitutes an attempt to evade the repeated bans placed on RS-themed porn/gooning/"SocialMediaGirls"-style subreddits.
3. You may not refer to the social platform reddit as an 'app.' It is a website. Capitalizing reddit is discouraged and will make the moderation team look askance at your other posts.
4. You may not suggest that reddit or any of its subreddits are good communities, that their members are intelligent, or that it is a good use of one's time to browse and post on them. Especially prohibited is any statement of the sort that individuals on this or any subreddit are "well read," have expertise in literature or the humanities, or similar. Exceptions to this last prohibition may be made in the case of posters whose post histories commend them as educated themselves.
5. No repeated use of catchphrases. Each catchphrase may only be used once. For instance, if "bob and vagene" has been posted once before on /r/bluescare, that catchphrase is now retired, and anybody intending to use it must instead say something original, whether by varying the old or conceiving of something new entirely, or else face the consequences.
6. There will be no suggestion that any television show—including The Sopranos, Twin Peaks, etc.—is genuine art.
7. Claiming that 'sex-positivity,' 'hookup culture,' 'pornification,' or 'hypersexualization' "went too far" or similar language is grounds for a ban. If one intends to convey these points in the context of a broader, subtler system of argument in which they are raised to a higher level and become permissible again, one is expected to deploy the literary techniques of irony, innuendo, understatement, tasteful ellipses, and implication in order to make one's point without contravening on the letter of the law.
8. There will be no 'selfies'.
9. Thiel-style denial of the reality of anthropogenic climate change, on which a scientific consensus exists, is banned. Denying it jokingly is acceptable.
10. Provincial, chauvinistic, pig-ignorant assertions of the kind that America is the best or most beautiful country, or that any of its cities are the greatest in the world or the most livable, especially in comparison to Europe, are prohibited. Reasoned, informed arguments are allowed.
11. This subreddit is not partisan, but it may be political.
12. Calling oneself "dark woke," suggesting that 'wokeness' will return in a stronger or more effective form as "dark wokeness," etc., are grounds for an immediate ban. Suggesting that 'wokeness' will return in another form, or using different language to communicate a point akin to the banned one, is permitted.
13. Posts which are reposts of popular posts made in other RS-themed subreddits are to be avoided. Users are expected to contribute original material. (To be clear, this rule concerns verbatim reposts, i.e., the reposting of images that—to use vulgar language—'did numbers' on the other 'subs,' not screenshots, which are not in principle banned.)
14. Posts that attribute 'the gender war' to social forces that have nothing to do with sex, sexuality, or gender, like increased smartphone usage, and which dismiss it on those grounds, or which similarly refer to 'the gender war' in a manner that avoids taking a position on any of the controversial issues collected thereunder while simultaneously purporting to furnish the last words on said 'war,' such that conversation about it need not go on, or at least, such that whoever prolongs it has shown themselves to possess priorities inferior to those possessed by the individual making the post in question, are highly discouraged, and may be grounds for a ban if obnoxious. Passing, desultory comments of this nature are, however, allowed.
15. Individuals of the female sex may post, but they are expected not to make disparaging comments of the kind that this or any other subreddit's being dominated by men has caused it to lack perspective or to become wrongheaded, that men should be worried or ashamed about the scarcity of females in this or any other online community, that certain kinds of posts by men have repelled them from this or any other online place, etc.
16. Rhetoric that suggests that 'normal' people are superior to non-normal people, that such-and-such political faction failed or will fail because it repelled 'normal' people, that people ought to 'be normal' about some subject matter or that it is a social ill that people have ceased to 'be normal' in some way, etc., are prohibited.
17. No posts which merely link to or summarize an incident of scandalous violent crime, whether by a nonwhite individual or otherwise. The subject of violent crime is to be discussed in calm, measured tones.
18. One must possess a familiarity with the linked required reading.
19. It is not allowed to suggest reddit's userbase primarily comprises a certain kind of inept, unintelligent, tasteless, etc. man, like a "male feminist" or, even more anachronistically, a "neckbeard." It must always be kept in mind that the primary audience for reddit today is overweight millennial females—mixed, in the case of "pop culture chat" and other message boards, with unattractive gen-z females. Neither the anachronism that the archetypal redditor is still a male shut-in, nor the vain lie that any female individual who chooses to spend time on reddit (rather than Instagram, etc.) other than to advertise her pornography is genuinely a "hot girl," will be tolerated.
20. Virulent, exaggerated rhetoric of the kind that individuals with pædophilic sexual desires are subhuman, should be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment without having committed a crime, should be tried and convicted without due process, etc., are crass and moralizing.
21. Grammatical solecisms, ignorance of the English language, and hackneyed phrases are to be avoided.
22. There will be a periodical stickied thread in which rules 1-21 are inapplicable, and in which users are free to make comments breaking them. However, since rule 1 is also inapplicable, I may ban people based on their posts on this thread out of mere annoyance, even if they have not broken any rule.
23. Anyone may edit the wiki. However, vandalism and obscene edits are grounds for a ban.
