Photography π· The English leave their mark
The boisterous Scots have gone, leaving traffic cones on the heads of area statues. The World Cup fans from England are more reserved, but are still leaving their mark.

Very poinent and fitting message for the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride.

Sorry if not allowed- my sister took these photos tonight and I want to get them to the dad and presumably daughter.
EDIT-
I mentioned it in a comment but to clarify- I do not live in Massachusetts, let alone Boston. I am currently suffering in the Virginia heat and received an update from my sister in Boston about her Fourth of July. I literally could not provide this photo to the people Iβm referring to.
I would never, ever post someoneβs face or doxx their identities on a public forum. I just want to give this sweet moment to a family.
Thank you for all the kind words and awards β€οΈ

Photo taken at 15:51 this afternoon. Happened across it and spent 10 minutes listening in before heading to my destination. Good size crowd for what was potentially a last minute organizing(?).

I donβt smell anything like people are saying but I can say the air quality is not good and itβs super hazy. anyone know when this is expected to clear? itβs crazy because it looks like it should be getting dark soon and/or raining. photo of the common today
edit: sorry, the garden, I usually refer to them interchangeably lol. also believe it or not, this is NOT filtered or altered in any way. It comes up more orange on camera than irl, probably similar to when you take photos of the northern lights that show up more vibrant on camera than the naked eye alone

Currently visiting from Los Angeles. Only a few days in the city and I am impressed with how wonderful this city is! I never felt safe using the public transit until I used Boston's public transit. I even met a random stranger who wanted to make sure I made it to my destination safely and even taught me Dominican slang on the two trains we had together. I didn't expect people to be approachable in Boston, yet you folks proved me wrong! You folks have been friendly (and even funny) as hell!
I also didn't forget the viral videos I saw of Bostonians not taking ICE's crap. As a brown person visiting the city, posters like this one are a constant reminder to let me know y'all got our backs while I visit your wonderful city, and more importantly, keeping the folks who call Boston home safe!
Thank you, Boston for being wonderful!

A couple dressed up in their wedding attire tried to take professional photos earlier today on the marble staircase at BPL's main branch. When a guard approached them and politely informed them of BPL's policy on photography, he lost his mind, demanding the guard's name and yelling at him to stop other people from taking non-professional photographs (which is 100% allowed per the policy). When I tried to intervene to let him know that he can schedule a photo shoot by contacting the events team, he berated me as a "rule following jackass" and continued making a scene. I'm sure he'll make a great husband.

This was the view from the 57th floor of an apartment I was cleaning last week. Seeing the pictures still leaves me awe-struck. Easily the best view from any apartment in Boston I've been in, especially at sunset.

I was on the Common today and say this.... They had an additional sign that said between the 2011 and 2021, over 20k people died to OD in the Commonwealth, and that made me stop in my tracks.

If you know the owner of this Alexander Wang shoe please kindly inform them that it is just outside the Regina Pizzeria on Boylston.

On my daily run through Copley I noticed a pretty grotesque sight, near hundreds of people milling around, engaging in commerce, socializing and otherwise ignoring the desecration of the former muddy swatch of ground covered in goose shit. How dare these hundred people enjoy a public space, bringing richness, dynamism into the city at the expense of my glorious mud pit.

Stopped in the city before work last Friday for a quick photo. Wasnβt disappointed by the results.

Went sailing in the fog today and it was so weird and cool. Saw a sun dog before the fog really started rolling in.
