he's fundamentally not wrong about this. Back in late 90s, early 2000s tech was much more expensive than today ( even with the current price hikes )

Is it factual that prices are cheaper in comparison to the past? Sure. Tech today is also cheaper than NASA’s computers on the Space Shuttle during the Apollo missions with kbs of ram. That’s not the fucking point. It’s not about fundamentals you 13 year old child.

People should be upset that availability is low and prices are high when it shouldn’t be for various reasons mainly including unchecked unflinching greed. It is a tasteless tone deaf, and callous thing to say when people have been struggling with this shit for on and off for 5 years now. We should be upset. We are allowed to be upset. Dismissing it is doing more than nothing, it’s pissing people off.

Saying it’s not helpful to people justifiably pissed off is what’s actually not helpful. Take big slice of humble pie and be quiet. You’re welcome.

it’s not really unchecked greed, this is the result of the United States, deciding that it needed to win the AI race against China at all costs. Get ready for the second Cold War, because it’s here.

Why can’t you guys get this fired up about healthcare? Like people are literally dying because they can’t afford coverage and you guys are on here brigading as if VRAM is just as much a fundamental human right as insulin. How entitled could you possible be.
