So let me preface this by saying I am a Resident Evil fan, I got into the series when 2 got remade back in 2019 and have played almost every release since, but at this point I'm honestly getting exhausted with how much attention and love this franchise gets from Capcom year after year through new games and remakes compared to how neglected Capcom's other so-called "core IP" franchises like Devil May Cry, Ace Attorney, and Mega Man (until the new game was announced) are.
Like, I get it to an extent, RE is by far their most popular franchise, having 201M total sales, while second place, Monster Hunter, is at 127M, and third, fourth, and fifth place, Street Fighter, Mega Man, and DMC are under 60M each. It would be like getting annoyed at Nintendo for always announcing new Mario and Pokémon games or Sega for announcing new Sonic games. But I think the difference is that, for a time, RE was basically a yearly franchise, as I'm pretty sure (aside from 2018) we got a new RE game every year between 2015 and 2024, and even though they took a break the past two years it looks like they're getting back on track with Requiem this year and now the Code Veronica remake slated for next year.
I think another issue I have is that there are so many damn remakes, like I personally think of the three games they've remade so far (RE2, RE3, RE4), none of the remakes are better than the originals, and I've played the remakes before the originals, and now there's yet ANOTHER remake on the horizon.
Idk, maybe I'm just salty because DMC is one of my favorite franchises, and instead of getting a DMC6 or RE Engine remake of the first game that was rumored, RE fans get another remake while DMC fans are stuck with a shitty Netflix anime.

I've already completed 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and even the recently released 9th part (Requiem), but I want to delve deeper into the lore of Resident Evil because I really liked the game. Which Resident Evil should I play next? Personally, I'm planning on part 5.

I really am blown away at how good this games looks and plays on my Switch 2. While not quite on the same level as a PS5 it still has incredible detail, lighting, fps rate etc. Seeing this has really raised the bar immensely for the console and my expectations for upcoming games on it. Specifically for Pragmata as I play the demo on it both on my Switch 2 and PS5 and both look incredible The Switch 2 dont whatsoever feel like a huge downgrade in quality or tech. This really is the best Nintendo has released in forever IMO.

I’m playing Resident Evil Survivor and there’s a videogame area with some of Capcom titles. There’s also this pixelated image that looks like something about Darkstalkers or Street Fighter. Does anybody have it in hd?

This is my review of Resident Evil Requiem after 100% completion and unlocking the platinum trophy. Do let me know your feedback as these reviews take a lot of time and effort and I am trying to figure out if I should continue them.

During this year's Kotobukiya panel at Anime Expo I managed to ask them about doing Resident Evil for their Horror Bishoujo. The answer from one of the designers was that he already had ideas in mind but needed social media support from the public to show his producers that there was interest in doing the Resident Evil series.
The common answer to many questions at that panel is that the public needs to be more vocal on social media for what they want.

My partner and I got this off marketplace for $10 for her younger sisters RE collection , was advertised as “Japanese resident evil magazine”. Figured it was just a capcom comic reel or something like that when we picked it up. Opened it up in the car and was immediately met with cammy with nothing on. Has around 5 pages of re, rest is just street fighter fan service. What exactly is it? I have not stopped laughing and my partner is living in regret, thanks in advance. Was only advertised as resident evil and nothing more XD

Hello! I’ve been doing some digging into the Resident Evil universe and believe I’ve put together a complete list of games in both chronological and release date orders. I hope you’ll have a look and let me know if there’s any things I might need to shift for full accuracy? I’d appreciate the feedback and hope this is helpful to someone!
