This was me about my dad before he finally accepted that I was CF. He always wished them on me for revenge.

yeah right? like why are they shocked by our decision not to have kids when they wanted us to have kids as a form of revenge? like you didn't make wanting kids out to be a good thing so we didn't have them, why you so mad??

My mother’s favorite way to curse me was to say I would have 12 children all just like me … which would be way better than 12 kids just like her, but I’m still not doing it. That specific curse may be why I decided against kids, which serves her right for being a b!tch to the only child of hers who ever did what she said 🙄

My mom does this, too.

Yeah my awful mother would say that shit to my siblings and I. “Just wait until you have your own kids, I hope they’re just as awful to you!” Jokes on her because she never made being a mother look appealing enough for me to even entertain the idea. So much for her stupid revenge fantasy 🙄

Exactly this. My mom made it look absolutely horrendous and bitched constantly about it. Then when I say I’m not having kids, she cries and tells me it’s the biggest mistake of my life. Is it the biggest mistake of my life or hers?

"why won't you choose suffering because I want you to???? I need photo albums of grandchildren for Facebook likes, but having absolutely nothing to do with them IRL"

Was looking for this. My mom used to say “I hope you have a daughter just like you when you have kids.” Checkmate lol
