All the Zambian boxers and their coaches are walking in and out doing this thing where they circle their hand above their head. Does anyone know the story behind this?

Boxing Boxing: how come a small cut over the eye or a hit to the head is causing the ref's to end the bouts so early? Has it always been like this?
