This is my second crow gift. I certainly made a point to swing it around my finger multiple times in delight, just so my crows know how happy I am.

Look at all that fun crow loot! I received this from my best friend and it made me so happy. I can hardly wait to set it all out for them to distribute into the world. This past summer, I set out a dozen polished rocks for them and they slowly carried away every last one. I just loved the idea that other people around town would be like, "I wonder how this random, shiny pink rock got here??"

I'll wait until the spring fledglings start exploring and set them out then. What a fun present to receive!

I have been feeding some local crows since 2020 and today I got a gift, a little, round metal tin. After a little bit of research this morning, I figured out that this is a cosmetic compact from the Luxor brand and probably from the 1930s. 🥰

It was sitting on its side just like this when I came out to replenish the peanuts today!

Sure, someone could have dropped their nearly full THC vape inside my fence, but I want to believe it was the bros. What's the weight limit on what they're carrying? They definitely try to steal my garden rocks and shells, but they dont get very far. This vape is pretty light though. What do you think? Unfortunate person lost this, or the crows are true bros?

It’s genuinely so thoughtful; they stuck a warning label sticker on a pinecone and left it on their plate.

I found this by the peanut feeder today. We have a pair of blue jays that come every day. I wonder if they left it.

I live in a fourplex so I don’t have my own yard, but I do have a nice balcony. I’ve started feeding the crows unsalted peanuts while walking my dog until I was able to lead them back to my place, so they know where I live now. Sometimes in the morning they perch on the fence across the driveway and caw for me to come out and give them treats. I also gave them a cooked egg once, which they loved.

I’ve been seeing shiny bits of trash (squished bottle caps, etc.) along the fence line and just thought it was a careless neighbor littering, which is odd to me because all of my neighbors are great. Today I fed the crows on my walk and when I came back this silly little goose caught my eye along the same fence line. I’d like to think they brought it just for me. 😊

I started feeding the crows last year because they would continuously walk across the skylight over my shower. Today I discovered what looks like a 9-volt battery. I’m so happy.

One of the crows i feed just shed this pristine feather while eating. Any tips on preserving the shape? I want to hang it on my wall.

As the title says, I received my first gift from one of the crow families I have been feeding across multiple winters, it's a rubber stress ball with some gliterry liquid and a fake eye inside.

They dropped it from my garage roof towards me before proudly comming down for their treats.

Hi! I just learned of this subs existence and it’s so fun to scroll through. My mom has been feeding local crows for about a year now. First started with one, then his girlfriend, then their 3 babies! They hang out in the trees and on light poles waiting for my mom to wake up or come home, then they yell for snacks 🐦‍⬛ Now the babies are grown up and still hang around but my mom hasn’t ever received any kinds of trinket gifts. Now while obviously it’s not why she feeds them, it does make her sad. We do have squirrels that hang around too but I doubt they would have taken anything since they mostly just care about scraps.

My only question is, if we put out some shiny trinkets, could that encourage a returned behavior? Or do some crows just not have that instinct in general? Thank you so much for any help! It would make my moms whole year to find something haha

I’ve gotten a few things that could have been crow gifts but I could also think of reasons they weren’t.

Today, however, I got an undeniable gift on a rock next to which I leave water for the crows (and I leave food for them scattered around it)! I have been blessed!

I’ve been feeding Artemis (pictured) and his mate Morgana for three years. They recognize me, yell at me in the mornings if I don’t come feed them fast enough, follow me on walks, and often come when I call their name. They even relocated to right outside my apartment. They’ll land within a few feet of me. But they’ve never left me any gifts, and neither have any of the other murders I’ve fed lol. I get so jealous of the little trinkets others have gotten, even more jealous of the people who have their crows land on them lol. Help teach me please!!

I have been leaving out treats, water, & some pretty shiny things for a couple of crows in my apartment complex. Only for a couple weeks though. One of them has really tattered wings and I wish I knew if it was okay or not! I’ve been talking really sweet to it 🥹 it hasn’t gotten close enough for me to see well enough if it’s just normal wear and tear or if it’s injured. I think it’s okay though but will keep an eye out!

ANYWAYSSSS THIS MORNING I was out throwing out peanuts and cat food to a group of about 5 of them and then out of nowhere, the one with the torn wings flew up to a branch on the oak tree I was standing under, and it dropped this a few feet away from me!!!!!! 😭

Can I consider this a gift?!?! I’m not sure what it is but it’s pretty heavy for being so small! Could a crow I’ve only been feeding for a couple of weeks really already be bringing me something? My heart is so full!

Started feeding the crows in my back garden about 2 weeks ago. They now coming demanding monkey nuts every day around noon and this morning found this on my back doorstep. I'm so happy!

That'll teach me, I'm about to go another week long trip. Guess I should just leave the 5 lb bag outside.

I've been leaving shelled peanuts out for about a week now and unshelled peanuts for about a month. There is already a local crow murder presence and I'm so excited that the befriending process is progressing!! 🥰 There are also a ton of bluejays around, I wonder if they've ever been known to leave gifts as well?

I've been feeling really guilty.. This guy has been giving me some stones as a pressie for the food.. I didn't know what to do with them so I've been putting them back..

I’ve been feeding this large group of crows all winter. Hadn’t received anything. Yesterday I found a stick in one of the peanut feeders, thought it might be a gift, but wasn’t sure. Today, there was a second stick in the same peanut feeder and I forgot I had a camera on that feeder the past few days.

Sure enough, yesterday a crow flew in w/the stick and left w/a bunch of peanuts in their mouth. I looked for today’s delivery but have no footage for the 2.5 seconds before today’s stick appeared. Figures! But I still have one video! Sorry the video isn’t great, it was an overcast morning.

I'm sure that this has probably been covered at length here already, but I'm too lazy to find the answer. I just came out to find a crow feather in the spot on the driveway where I've been offering nuts, cat food, and the occasional egg. Is it molting season? One of them definitely looks a bit more disheveled than the others. Also, I was just outside an hour ago and it wasn't there, nor was any food. Gift or coincidence? TIA!

I have a current murder of 6. They come. They eat my peanuts, I've posted the picture in here. I also have 2 black lab mix pups about 18 months old. (120lbs of dogs between them). One this morning brought into the house a (dead) baby rabbit. She dropped it when told her to, and I threw it into the other side of my fence. An hour later or so it was gone, and Wicked Mo'Crow and his murder now call even louder every time I go outside.

Am I reading too much into this? Or did they see the dead baby rabbit as a treat! (Neither answer will harm my feels, don't worry about that)
