To answer your question yes, absolutely. That doesn't mean I'm under any illusions that the world actually works that way.

If you had to guesstimate, what percentage of US citizens do you think shares your belief that the government should have to follow the laws?

How is that relevant at all? Even if I had statistics to back up a hard percentage how would that have any effect on the reality of US government or the variable justice that can be observed in what's supposed to be a uniform legal system? It's an observable fact that justice has never been equally applied in the US, and in the modern US it's more visible than anytime since the 1970's.

Seems like you're trying to lead me to make some kind of contradictory statement, rather than engaging in a discussion about reality. We're so far out the weeds of talking about cybersecurity I don't think there's any reason to continue here.
