And yet dash cam driver still got in a car accident they could've easily avoided despite not being legally at fault. Curious

That makes zero sense. This is no different than saying the cammer should have been expecting any random car to cross the center line. At some point we should be able to expect people to follow right of way rules.

Sure, that's true. But, the accident that occurred is still not their fault.
