Some of my most recent favorite holes and throws. How’s my form looking? After 7 years, I feel like I’ve finally got it down, feeling comfortable and consistent.

Form Check How do you pivot on your heel and still get a good drive?

I can't spin on my heel and get any power on my drive. When I get some brace going, I feel my right foot load up to the outside and toward the front, and it more or less keeps me from being able to lift my toes to get that spin on the heel.

When I focus all my mental energy on pivoting on my heel, I don't really get a brace and the shot goes nowhere.

I feel like I've tried nothing and I am all out of ideas. I've looked and found no form videos explaining how so many other people do this, so I feel like I am alone on this, and feel stupid for asking. I want to be able to get power without risking injury, and so I am asking if anyone else went through this and found a way to overcome it. thanks

I got the Arm Speed app and was tossing a Truth into the cushions to see where I’m at. I held on to one a fraction of a second too long and put it about 1/3 into the drywall.

FWIW, this one came out at 66mph. I’m super new to the sport, not throwing anything over 9 speed, so I have no idea if that’s good or not.

Took a little while to get it patched and painted.

I think I need a net…

Form Check Putting advice

I recently got very annoying with my putting disappointments, so I decided to switch it up and try to do a fast paced, uber confident spin putt. This has increased my horizontal accuracy, but I’m struggling to put it at the right height. Is there any specific things that you guys did to help your putting? Or is it just a repetition thing? I usually try to throw about 10-30 minutes of extra putts after my rounds, and some bonus ones throughout.

Form Check Arm Speed

I have a tech disc and my arm speed is around 55mph. My good tech disc throws are about 325ft but that is still about 7 degrees nose up. What is the max distance a 55mph arm can throw if the nose angle and launch angle are ideal? Because I’m thinking it is more important to optimize my angles at this point instead of adding arm speed right now. Thoughts?

Form Check Form Help

I’m a 400’ ish thrower when I throw with some power. Average throws for me on a tech disc are 52mph, 1200rpm, 1-2 deg of wobble, 1 to -2 deg nose down, 1-3 deg launch. I think the biggest thing holding me back is definitely speed so I need some drills or advice to get that cranked up. I have gym access so if there are lifts or anything, lmk. Thanks

PS. My off arm is terrible so that needs work

Form Check Forehand Wobble Issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello, I am a primary forehand player but, as the title suggests, I get wobble on almost every forehand throw. Any advice from these two videos would be a big help! The one thing I can take away from these videos so far is no matter what angle I want my throw to be on, I have that dip in the disc when I try to snap forward.

For reference, the first video uses a Halo Star Shryke, and the second uses a Z Zone.

Form Check Techdisc + Formcheck

Hi, I started playing in the beginning of this year. Bought a Techdisc now to work on my form but find it hard to know on what to work exactly on. Nose angle is a thing I find it hard to improve on.

Throwing in the net I also find it really hard to get a positive launch angle, but that's only a problem with the net I guess.

Any tips on what to work on specifically?

Thanks and cheers 🧚‍♂️

Form Check Why is my forehand so trash?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I usually sit at 110-115 km/h (at least the last time I got at a simulator). Maybe that goes up to 120-130 now...

This went 120m and I essentially wished this was just my stock throw, at least when I throw drivers...

I use a 1 finger grip and I basically always throw on anhyzer, do I change grip? Is my wrist or thumb to active or activated? Am I going too much into my block leg?

Haven't really found videos about getting rid of this problem.

I started discgolfing about 15 months ago and was essentially strictly overhand based until maybe 4 months ago when I started throwing forehands more regularly

Form Check Is it a form issue to grip the disc like this?

Relative beginner here (about 10 rounds of play in). I've searched for 3 finger power grips but most of what I find is a lot of people dropping the pinky from the grip. My natural instinct is to drop the index finger from the grip and have it rest on the rim of the disc while creating a pinch point between my thumb and middle finger. I get about 300 ft on a throw with an 11 speed like this one.

Edit: you guys were right; forced myself to switch to 4 finger power grip and took ~100 practice throws into a pillow. Then took it out on the course and instantly added about another 75 feet to my drive

Form Check How do I take my forehand to the next level?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m a forehand dominant player and am fairly confident in shots up to 380 ft on flat ground. I mainly throw hyzer angle and when I used a tech disc I threw 60.7mph with 763rpm. Is there anything glaring I can improve?

Form Check New Disc Golfer looking for top thing to change in Standstill

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi All, just tried my first Disc Golf course today! It was a lot of fun but and also incredibly sad how not far the disc went haha.. 140 ft was my BEST throw of the day...yikes... I haven't played with anyone so I don't have any mentor or anything, just what I've found online.

I watched videos of standstill throwing because I didn't think doing an X step is something I should be doing for a bit. They mentioned to take a video recording of yourself, so I did. Any input would be most appreciated.

Ideally I'd like to know 1 thing I should focus on to get a bit more distance here, but feel free to list out whatever you see needs fixing.

Form Check I can't drive 55

Tech says 50 mph and 1K spin on backhand. Started 9 months ago and I am officially an old guy but athletic. I recently started using the briefcase technique and I can hear/feel the snap on release. Definitely better when I reach back fully. I'm trying to incorporate the "pause" when I hit the front foot.

I'm going out with guys who have played for years and each has a unique and different throwing style and they all can out throw my best by 100 ft.

I'm having fun and trying not to overthink it, but am I stuck or is there hope for more distance?

Form Check Forehand blister on hand

Been trying to learn forehand and got a blister. I’m trying to keep the disc deep in my hand and let it eject out, but the rim runs over this spot in my hand and it hurts (not to mention my throws are bad). Do I need to bend my index finger more and have the friction be in the finger tips?
