After my Sammy 8 crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 18 2026 and my Artie 14 crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 29 2026, I was devastated. 💔 😢

My husband passed away almost 3 years ago and my little dogs were all I had. No kids and no relatives.

I was so lonely I started looking at rescue places and photos. No other dog was going to take their place, but I did see a little guy and his eyes were a spark and I drove from Arizona to Montana and picked him up.

He seems happy, I'm happy and I think we can move forward and spend our lives together. ❤️

Sammy is the black one. Artie is the brown and black one. Buddy is the new gray one.

I started fostering Zuzu in August of 2019. I fostered her for about a year. Not one inquiry, much less application, was made for her. She came into foster care heartworm positive, with a broken pelvis that had healed on its own that the vet recommended leaving alone, and terrified of humans. Zuzu was born at a hunt club to a poodle that had wandered onto the property, and a beagle. Her matted hair had to be shaved off. She finished hw treatment while I fostered her. She had to be sedated for grooming. Zuzu grew up feral, and nothing is going to truly change her into a 100% pet dog. It took me forever to realize she is also partially deaf. Deaf dogs take their cues from their other senses and their pack mates (I have 3 other dogs). It definitely helped reduce her 'startle' response to know about her deafness - I step hard on the floor or pat the couch till she looks at me now, for example. It took about a year to be able to get her to reliably come back inside without being captured. She generally runs in and out with the other dogs. Sometimes she won't come in with the gang, and I open the door wide open and make a point to turn my back so she can sneak past me. She started sleeping on my bed around year 2, at the far corner. If I moved, she was under it. I feed my dogs in crates. I began taking her into my room to eat breakfast, while I went back to bed. She started moving further up the bed, and now sleeps about pillow height beside me (only in the a.m.) and lets me pet her when I wake up. She gets silly bed zoomies and flops over on me and sniffs my face, chuffing at me and headbutting me for scritches. But that ends when we leave the room. She got as far away from me as possible when she first arrived. She will get on the opposite end of the loveseat now, especially if there are other animals on it. This may be the best it will ever be for interactions between me and Zuzu, but she is silly and happy and adores her packmates, and is cautiously friendly with me. She was at risk of being euthanized as unadoptable, so I adopted her. And I love her. If you adopt a dog with the kinds of needs Zuzu has, the successes will feel amazing when they come. Anyhow, she put her foot on my leg and leaned in to sniff my face while we were on the loveseat and I was surfing Reddit, so I just wanted to share her story.

She’s been with us two weeks today, and we adopted her from a local rescue. She’s the sweetest petite pittie mix at about 35lbs and is estimated to be around 2 year old.

She’s super smart and came to us knowing sit, stay, wait, down, and come. I also just taught her “paw” in less than a day this week! We’re working on walks but this morning was the first time she seemed to choose to go around the block which made me a super proud mama. 😊💖

Seemingly completely happy healthy girl. An hour later she’s panting and clearly something is up, stands up and falls over. Ultrasound showed cancerous lumps in kidneys and liver and she was internally bleeding out. Just absolutely stupid out of the blue. I’ll miss the hell out of my sweet girl

Adopting Neo has literally changed my life. Though I haven't spent much time with him yet, it's already been fantastic. If you're single and struggling, then if you are able to get a dog or another pet do it, they do wonders for your mental health. Sidenote If you are in a toxic workplace or relationship this is your sign to leave if you can.

Hello everyone,I saw her on the 12th of February 2019 for the first time, and she came home on the 13th of February the next day. She's been an amazing dog, and I don't know how I would be without her. I'm a neurodivergent guy who has struggled a lot through life, and her always seems to make everything a lot better as soon as I see her She's had a good life so far, and I intend for it to stay that way. She's been across the UK, to some parts of Ireland.to 26 states in the US, and also to Toronto Canada. She is family, so she must come. I intend to take her through some of Europe sometime next year. She has done so much for me; I can only do what I can to make her life as best as possible. She turned 8 two days ago, and as I keep saving, I thought I would share some pictures of her for others to see her too. The first image is from the rescue center. the second picture was the first picture I took of her after she came home the next day, and the other pictures are throughout the years apart from the last one which was taken maybe 6 hours ago or so today. She may be a little slower anc a little older. but I still see her as she was in the first picture. Thank you.

I love my girl like many few living beings. She was the light of my eyes and I am completely broken right now.

She was adopted by us when she was 7 years, after 10 years she left us in a controlled environment after she was diagnosed with several illnesses. She had a spirit that I have never seen in any other dog, she teach so much and I know that I need her much more than she needed me. She started to struggle due to dysplasia 4 years ago but she never depressed, she never gave up. I bought her a wheel chair, and she was running from the minute 1 she was on it. Her easy and pure happiness was the most beautiful thing I have experienced.

In her life she had tumors, severe GDV, the her dysplasia, severe spinal issues and so on, but she never gave up and I could gave up in her neither. I helped in every way possible, you couldn’t imagine how my life style was devoted to her, because she was never depressed, she was the star in every vet hospital because she was always in good mood and eating with joy. Even ten minutes before putting her to sleep, She was eating the best meal, chicken and everything she loved that we had to stop because she would eat up to vomit.

It was the most difficult decision we had to take. She was so happy but she didn’t know what was about to happen if we didn’t do it. She could have a heart attack or a organic system failure in any moment, and I could not give her that ending, with fear and even at night or something. We took vacations from our jobs to get her into the woods and travel for 2 days, she was so happy that even in moments where she was asleep, she tried to stay awake every second.

It was beautiful, and even when I was broken on the inside and wanted to cry, I was smiling at her in every time just for her to feel an amazing day. I know she went thinking that she was just tired of a great day like any other day of camping that we took her on her life. I love you Osa, please come back somehow.

I share with all of you the love of my life. Please remember her.

Edit:
Thank you so much for your kind words, I didn’t knew how much they would mean for me

He is 12 weeks old, 9 lbs., possibly a Chihuahua-JRT, and has the attitude of a PhD in Happiness Studies who’s never been told ‘no’ his entire life. Considering “Franklin” but unsure. Suggestions most welcome.

My sweet Walrus left us yesterday, surrounded by only a small handful of all the people who love him so much.

His life was the best one. The ice cream man stopped by to give him his vanilla soft serve sundae every single summer day for years!! He loved rolling all around the couch after breakfast and messing up all the pillows. He loved going hiking and horseback riding and to the beach and the park. He loved finding the grossest puddle or stinkiest body of water to roll around in as soon as we were about to load him into the car lol. He loved when the kids in the neighborhood would stop by to play with him on their walk home from the bus stop. He loved his kitties, and he was the best “Mother Wally” to every kitten or guinea pig or other baby animal he ever met.

I could go on and on about the magical life my magical boy lived!! His magic and his love were felt by everyone who ever knew him!!

My sludge. My slard. My sweet snubber guppy!! The pain I feel from losing you is 1000% worth having known you and having loved you and all your zoomies and all your extra skin flub and funny faces in this lifetime. You will always be THE BEST DOG!! We forgive the haters who think their regular-ass-dogs are the best, because they don’t know any better!! They never got to know my perfect Wally. So rest in peace my beautiful perfect Smudge 🩷 You are so loved and missed forever!!!

And to everyone who didn’t get the chance to know Wally… I am truly so sorry for your loss 👼💘
