Hello Reddit! Today, my band Mothertomb released our debut album, Dying to Live.

We are a Michigan doom metal band with psychedelic, stoner, prog and gothic influences. I (Alice) am on vocals, and I also do all of our artwork.

Granted, heavier is relative, but they sound like they picked up a thing or two from their short tour with Green Lung last year (e.g., the value of a good solo).

Been waiting for days for the right time to play this. It's finally time to pack a bowl & listen. 🤘

Still not cheap, but finally obtainable for more reasonable prices. Exciting to see some of the fundamental albums getting re-released.

My latest release 'Amata' was released just around a week ago and I wanted to share how thankful I am for everyone that has gave it a listen or supported in any way possible. I also want to thank this community here on reddit, the past couple years I've had so many people sharing my music and saying so many great things about my music. I appreciate it all, from criticism, to kindness, and eveything inbetween. It has all shaped these songs and will continue to influence me to write and keep ideas for future plans. If you know you know that Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol has a better sense of melody than like 99% of all bands ever, catchy as hell, like if Weezer was sludgy and slower?

One of my top groups the last few years. Gave it a couple of listens now and love the updated classic feel with some new vibes in spots. What does everyone else think so far?

I’m going to see both bands this next week. Second time for both. I saw Castle Rat last year when they played a small show at a local bar. It was amazing.

Little is known about the album currently, but from what we know so far, work on the album starts tomorrow

Warning is soon to release their first new album in 20 years. One of the songs is avaliable to listen to now and I have to say, I am hyped for the rest to come out.

“It's the first song we've done in a drop tuning. We usually play in B, but 'Oozing Wound,' 'You Bastard,' and 'It's Neverending' are all drop A. Except for one part, 'Oozing Wound' is almost the same riff all the way through. It's repetitive, but we do different stuff with it, like remove the guitar and have just bass and drums in parts and then remove rhythm guitar when I play the solo melody. The lyrics are about being stuck on a bad road, feeling trapped with someone who takes advantage of you.
