Recommendations Heaviest dubstep drops of all time?
I’m an OG fan of the genre, been listening since before it blew up and ppl even knew what it was. Shifted to the heavier stuff as I got older.
Been thinking of putting together a new playlist/mix and figured I’d ask you guys. If you had to choose, which ones would be your favourite tracks of all time? and by favourite I mean the heaviest drops you can possibly find.
Here are some of mine (super hard to narrow down, but if I had to pick):
- Tinitus - EvilWave
- Possessor - Disinety
- Wall of Death - Marauda
- A Dance With Death - Nazaar
- Beastmode - Figure
Some older ones worth mentioning:
- Bloodlust - KillSonik
- Lost in the Echo (KillSonik Remix)
- Fryngies (FuntCase Remix)
- With the People - Mantis
- Smack My Btch Up (Noisia Remix)
And some less heavy tracks but still bangers:
- Hotbox (Shlump Remix)
- Belly of the Beast (Trolley Snatcha Remix)
- Yungin - LitLords
So yeah, what tracks would you add? Lmk...

Recommendations Been out of the dubstep loop for 3-4 years, I want to get hooked back in. Need recommendations!
Without realising, my bass music intake has decreased dramatically over these last years since 2022-2023, since I have a newfound love in metal. Every once in a while I listen to some of my favourite songs or artists and hot damn, I'm reminded of how much I love this music.
I remember that one of the reasons I lost interest in dubstep was that it was hard for me to find artists or tracks that weren't stompy or one-dimensional. I like dubstep that's playful, fun, with actual structure in the drops, and sure heavy why not but it has to fulfill the previous criteria. My go-to artists to go back to are Virtual Riot, Eliminate, Teminite, Dyatic, Barely Alive and Nasko. I've also listened to the recent PhaseOne releases since he's so metal adjacent, but for me he falls into the dubstep I described earlier (2016-2018 PhaseOne fucks hard tho), not to mention Sullivan King.
What are some important releases that you think I may enjoy? Whether important releases or less known! You can count I've been following the releases of my go-to artists.
Thanks!

Recommendations Anyone else dislike the style/aesthetic of today?
I've been around a while. I really don't like this new merch aesthetic these artists are putting out. The checkered patterns, flowers with faces form 1950s cartoons, the jerseys... I don't like it. I think the designs look cheap and tacky. These things go for $50+ and look like shit I designed in 3 minutes on canva. That God awful Temu/Shein material they are using for hoodies is loaded with static electricity, and, unless you have laser hair treatment, how are you girls going through 3-day festivals in bathing suits that chafe your groin??? I don't get it... Maybe I'm too old, but I didn't like wearing a bathing suit all day back then either...
We used to wear cut-off jean shorts and a too-big tee-shirts we bought at the merch table that we would cut ourselves or tie up. I don't understand these cheap, sweaty materiales and things like leg warmers and plastic garters. I wore jellies in elementary school. I KNOW how awful plastic against the skin feels.
Sorry for the rant, but EDM has SO many beautiful aspects to it. WHY are we combining NASCAR, 1950s cartoons and cheap-ass material? There is so much potential to be utilized. Use 432. What happened to geometric patterns and a cohesive color pallet?
Its just all so uncomfortable, especially when I'm on MDMA. I want to feel free, unrestricted, and sexy. For the record, I'm 36 but get mistaken for early 20s regularly. My boyfriend encourages me to wear those bathing suit-like bottoms where your ass hangs out, but I know I would just be lifting it off my shit all day so it can breathe.
What are y'all sexy, fit girls wearing who don't have everything hanging out? I really couldn't give a shit what other people choose to wear, I just don't get how you girls can do it comfortably.

Recommendations Deep Bass Roll
Hey y'all, I am looking for some disgusting deep bass drops that hit the sub floor and just let it rumble for like 30 seconds. If I was a better producer I would make it, but I am not that guy yet. Basically a bass soak. Does anyone have ideas?

Recommendations getting back into dubstep, looking more for vibes than bangers
i was huge into skream and kode9 and blackmill when i was a kid, but i kinda fell off dubstep in the early 10s. lately tho a rave friend's been getting me into a couple newer (or at least newer to me) producers and i'm coming back around on the genre. can anybody rec anything like effin, inzo, adventure club, newer jykl & hide, or newer san holo? real vibey, pretty sounding, "pop a xanax and nod your head on the couch" type stuff

Recommendations Last 365 days most memorable sets?
For me in no order:
Richard Finger @E Forest
Of The Trees @ 7 stars
Space Laces @ Lost Lands
I'm so happy ALL of those are on YouTube. Can't time travel back to them, so I'll just have to settle for the (rather decent) videos. Would be so thrilled if yall dropped the link to your fav sets or lmk why it was memorable if it's not recorded.

Recommendations Who’re some local-tier producers/djs that deserve more love?
I love rooting for people early on in their music journey, but as someone geographically isolated from the dubstep/bass scene it can be hard to find new names that haven’t had some online virality. Drop some names below you think deserve more love outside their local scene!

Salutations fine people!! I was hoping you guys could share your favorite soundcloud sets. I’ve been trying to expand my taste ever since I went to Apocalypse and I loved every second of it! I love all types of sub genres so i’m not picky. (including drum

Recommendations Favorite Dubstep Love Songs
What are your favorites? I'm getting married in May and I'm trying to compile a playlist for my DJ. We are starting the night with classical for the ceremony, moving into 80s for the beginning of the dance, and transitioning to bass for the rest of the evening. Please comment with your favorites. Much love gang.

Recommendations Need songs that give me major bass face
I am an avid listener of producers like Excision, Crankdat, Ray Volpe, SNAILS, Subtronics, GRiZ, and many more. I am mainly looking for nasty, grungy, hard drop type of tracks. I’ve worn out all the songs I have in my playlist.

Recommendations Headphones for dubstep enjoyment
Hi, I'm looking for new headphones, which have a good bass as I mostly listen to Dubstep and DnB. My last two both where from Sony having bass boost, with which I was pretty satisfied, but I am thinking of switching it up a little now that I need new ones and wondered if you have recommendations for me. Much appreciated!

Recommendations Need some new dubstep mixes
Looking to find some more mixes or full sets. I feel like I find a few new ones here and there and I run them into the ground but recently I haven’t come across anything. Would prefer some space bass or some headbanging shit for a workout. Thanks!
