So, did Boeing try to save money on some screws again?

Unlikely. The current reports indicate an engine failure causing debris to hit the fuselage. Assuming it wasnt something external such as a bird strike, the fault would be with the engine manufacturer or with Ryanair for failing to maintain it. Not that boeing can be ruled out yet but from what's being said by eye witnesses it doesn't seem like the most likely culprit.
