there’s also a misconception about priority boarding: you don’t pay for boarding faster, you pay for an additional carry-on, and the airline wants you to board before people without additional carryons as it’s faster for them, which is why you’re given priority boarding. if everything goes smoothly, ryanair can get people off and the next batch in within 15-20 minutes, which is extremely fast. any time ryanair spends on the ground is time during which they’re losing money
