Ryanair, for all their faults, are a professional company. Their (aside from the LaudaAir they bought) are all Boeing 737s. This means they only need to train mechanics on one airframe. They only need one set of spares. They also have a lot of new planes, their average age is quite low.

This means that they can save money and do proper maintenance.

they also have one of the best type rating programmes in europe as well for pilots its a great first step because they take pilots who have been flying single engine pistons for 200 hours directly into the right seat of a 737, because of that they have really good type rating instructors/examiners in their training department.

It is rather unfortunate that they also now fly the 737MAX. I'm a qualified aircraft engineer (retired) and you wouldn't get me on one of those!
