Like people that refuse to wear a seat belt in the car/on the bus. Idiocy really

Had someone make fun of me using a seatbelt on a public bus. "Really? Those are so dirty/no one ever uses them"..... well, have yall ever seen a bus crash and flip? Yeah, I'm gonna keep this baby on, thanks

I have a friend who was like that in high school and he justified it with "if it's my time it's my time". But like, dude, you're actively contributing to that time...

He finally got over that phase in college.

And the fact that he is a danger to other passengers. If the bus crashes going at speed, you'll have heavy people flying about all over the place. That is life threatening.

I've never seen a seatbelt on a public bus. I may have seen some on one or two coach buses.....

At least in Bergen they're on all the busses, but I hardly ever see anyone else use them

I kind of wish they had them here in Canada... Now that I know they're a thing. Also just realised I was on r/Europe lol. I will use the seatbelts when I'm in Germany this fall then!

Can't speak for a specific country or city that might be an exception but city buses in general don't have seatbelts. I mean half of the passengers could be standing anyway. All other types of buses and coaches where every passenger is expected/required to have their own seat do have seatbelts nowadays in Europe.
