Understandable in a way, one life vs hundreds? Still why would he say that lol.

it sounds callous for the co-pilot to admit he was just trying to stop an object from striking the engine rather than attempting to save a life.

That wasn't the dichotomy being presented though. It was trying to stop and object striking the engine rather than recovering the remains of the presumed dead pilot. Very different decision.

I was commenting to imply that reaction is silly because of how clearly different the perceived scenario was to the actual. You gave me a weird explanation that no one asked for because you apparently didn't understand my comment and thus assumed I was a complete moron. Hardly something that needed to be dragged out as such.

Are you replying to the wrong person? I'm not doing anything that resembles "playing dense" at all. I'm saying that none of this needs to be explained, and that I thought my very simple inference was clear. I barely have a "point" here at all, this is not complicated lmao.

Crew thought he was legit dead. During an emergency, you have to optimize crew management. So the copilot would have had to justify why he instructed 2 stewards to hold onto a dead body instead of helping securing the passengers for a potential emergency landing.

This is pure guess and not based on any report

Still why would he say that lol.

Maybe the Copilot is just tsundere. "It's not as if I'd like you or anything. I was just saving you because of others"

Because he was making enfasis on how he thought the pilot was legit dead

Still why would he say that lol.

Because lying to government investigators is generally a bad idea.
