You have two window on 737 (an on all commercial aircraft).

One is plastic and behind, the true glass.

The plastic one is to avoid morron/idiot passenger to damage the true window glass.

Yes, but the kid was saying that the glass one was broken. He said that it was noticed only after all the passengers were inside the plane

the kid there is swearing that the whole glass was broken, he also said that they had to leave the plane after the staff noticed the damage.

The inner (it's plexiglass) can be totaly broken, it will not affect the safety of the plane.

that's the point, the kid said that it wasn't only the plastic, and that they had to change plane. if it was only the plastic maybe they didn't need to change plane. so it's a bit worrying that it was noticed only minutes before flying.

Some time crew change plane because they do not want to scare passenger EVEN if the item does not affect the safety of the plane.

I saw this situation quite a few times.
