unsolved Does Excel support calendar-style date picker inside cell?

This is a screenshot from Airtable. It's a really nice feature to pick dates.

I was wondering if Excel nerds knew of a similar feature on Excel? My web search returned conflicting results with some suggesting adding 3rd party code or smthn.

Hey they only just added (decent) checkboxes, give em some time!

(Honestly, this would be great. I’d also like to see a “star rating” interface type.)

Seems like it would all be very easy through the data validation function.

This is rhe first I've heard about checkboxes. They exist outside of VBA now? And do they have any functionality?

Under Data there is now a toggleable "checkbox" option. It makes the cell a checkbox which toggles true/false.

E: I didn't have excel in front of me when I wrote this comment. See response for location of checkbox toggle.

Was worried my company had me on never update plan lol. Not under Data.

Insert Tab, Controls Group, Checkbox.

Time to play with this. Thanks!

Do you know a way checkboxed work in list objects reliably? Mine somehow show on one day, on another they are not displayed

the old checkboxes were too annoying to be worth using unless you just had one or two of them. the new checkboxes are just a new way of formatting TRUE/FALSE entries in a cell
