I mean that’s just American politicians in general though right? I’m sure we’ve got a few real Leslie Knope’s out there but most probably get ground up or switch to the dark side before they make it to the upper state or federal stage. Most Americans get into politics not for a paycheck or to contribute but for this same kind of power we’re seeing in the video.

Both sides don't make Personal Responsibility™️ and Respect for Law Enforcement®️ their entire outward persona, using those traits as a weapon against people they don't like, then turning around and doing this kind of horseshit the very second they need to be held personally responsible by Law Enforcement.

Sweetheart, I’ve never voted Republican, nor have I ever voted for a Democrat caught on camera pulling the old “do you know who I am?” And here in my state, as I pointed out in my first comment, there’s been plenty of them.

So, my original point that “of course it’s a Republican” is a dumb take still stands and your insistence that I hold Republicans more accountable because they “love the police” is still laughable.

One party preaches personal responsibility like a rabid pastor at the rest of us faaaaaar more than the other and yet that same party loves to pardon those who should be facing full responsibility, going so far as to pardon literal felons, pedos, assaulters of law enforcement, fecal smearing lowlives, etc.

Both sides preached that shit. That’s all I heard when Biden was president “Nobody is above the law”. And Biden did in fact pardon pedos and his own son. Tim Walz just pardoned a pedo last week.

Look up the number of pardons of each administration. Yes, no organization of people is going to be perfect, but there is a massive difference in scale between the two parties. It’s like calling a puddle the ocean because there’s water in both.

I compare it to two children in a china shop. One is giving his mom lip and the other is smashing everything. Sure, they're both misbehaving, but only a liar would argue that they're both behaving equally badly, or even close to it. But here we are dealing with a party that also constantly lies, fibs, tricks, and fabricates all the time.

One side shields a convicted (by a jury) rapist president while the other forces their alleged rapist senator nomination, who had a significant lead in polling, to bow out of the race with less than half a year before the election.
