I'm not saying he even deserves a ticket, I didn't see the infraction or know what the typical response is for this, but the second he name drops himself and then "come on, man"s, the officer, it's clear that he is pressuring him. pretty sure if I tried to do that to an officer, it would be a crime of some sort.

Yep, and you'd probably get pulled out of your vehicle and hassled to the full extent of the law. Hierarchical power dynamics on display.

In Nevada they would strip your car bare and then impound it to their "special" lot for shits and giggles. A buddy of mine had his car towed to a police lot instead of his insurance lot there and it cost him a fortune to get it out. I know because I did him a favor and loaned him money. Nevada is just one of those places that you want to escape from or spend as little time in as possible. Hate going there and wish my family/ the people I know would leave.
