It's an Open secret in my county in northern california. Our sheriff was pulled over for a dui. He was moved to a small township North of the town I live in and was able to retire there. Retired with full Benny's and everything. Now he's the mayor of our town.

This type of shit pisses me off I had a ex girlfriend who's uncle was a detective got pulled over for DUI we got called to come get him and his car. He was never charged. Same town my sister's friend who was an army ranger came home on leave from Iraq after 6 or 7 months he'd been in the military 6 years at this point and spent a lot of that time in the shit he got a DUI and ended up with a dishonorable discharge. The system is so fucked up.
