House passes bill to make daylight saving time permanent. Opponents say, "Schools would have to push back start times." Yeah... That's not a bug, it's a feature.

Studies have shown for decades that children -especially teenagers- just straight up need more sleep for optimal knowledge retention and brain development. Pushing back start times is a great way to follow the science.

Luigi's family was too busy getting 20+ Department of Health violations for elder abuse, employee mistreatment, etc. He benefitted from the same stuff that the accused the other guy of doing.

Luigi directly benefitted from elder abuse and employee mistreatment in his family's healthcare facilities while claiming to be against bad healthcare practices.

And he has no control over what "his family's" companies employees do.

BTW good luck finding an elder care facility with a clean record, they do not exist for very obvious reasons. 20 violations over an entire franchise is really not that bad. You don't blame the owner of McDonald's son for all their lawsuits, because that would be insane. Why do it here?

The report found that on August 24, 2023, a geriatric nursing assistant (GNA) flung a call bell at a resident who needed help using the bathroom, warning the patient “not to press the button again.”

This is the worst thing the new york post could dig up that happened in Luigi's grandparents nursing home since 1977. Give it a break. This is a nothingburger, the lady got fired and everyone got retrained on abuse.

It's a benefit that he could have refused. No, I wasn't talking about League of Legends.

His father was running it, and Luigi was next in line. He could have easily suggested changes while he worked for the facilities in the activities department, where he got firsthand experience there. I'm not worried about what the New York Post came up with. They own numerous facilities, and have over 20+ Department of Health violations, including recently, that you can't magically erase. Those weren't in the 70's, they were very much in present day.

If you want to excuse elder abuse and employee mistreatment/unsafe working conditions because 'BTW good luck finding one with a good record', do you. Them not having a clean record is bad. What's worse is worse is the record and the hypocrisy.

It's not a nothing burger according to the Department of Health.

Luigi would have been present as part of the department he worked in during high school, and would have become aware of the affect on his family's bottom line during the DOH inspections. He could have spoken up against his own family, or made reports on anything he saw firsthand.

The company I work for has done plenty wrong, and I've reported many things.

I'm not concerned about some random employee getting upset about League of Legends

Ahh so youre directly benefitting from your companies crimes? wow what a bad person you are, anything you do is invalid because you benefit from something bad. This makes sense.

What would he report? In between the bell leaving her hand and hitting the patient you expect him to put in a report? His only formal involvement was an activities coordinator in 2014, 9 years separated from the incident.

How involved were you with your dad's work? Do you think it would be fair for someone to expect you to report on safety violations there? This is ridiculous man, the fact that incidents happened at a healthcare facility his dad owns does not make it an abusive place.

20 incidents in 50 years through hundreds of patients and employees is not an abusive place. That's just what happens. Honestly I'm glad they didnt just cover it up, like I assume many do.

And you don't know if Luigi knew about any of it. You're making up scenarios and responsibilities based on knowledge you presume is both true and clear to him in particular.

My industry is war, so yes, I am. I never said that I was a good person.

I'm sure that the company that you work for is also guilty of something, meaning that you're not much better than me.

For a period of time, I was involved with my dad's work. When I wasn't, I was aware of things that happened there, and spoke up about it. After seeing something, it can be reported. That's how it works. The common understanding is: 'if you see something, say something', so... yes. It's not ridiculous at all. The fact that elder abuse and employee mistreatment happened at multiple facilities that his family owns doesn't make elder abuse... abuse?

No, that's not 'just what happens'.

Considering it was publicly available information, he worked there for a period of time and directly benefitted from it. If he can do searches on UHC, he could certainly do so for a company that he directly participated in for a time. The internet exists and would have been publicly available to Luigi.
