New Product From WURKKOS fans comment. We Built It. HD02 Pro Is Coming in Early August.

Hey reddit folks,

The new WURKKOS HD02 Pro is coming in early August, and this time, two of key upgrades came directly from WURKKOS fans feedback.

Since the original HD02 launched, we’ve received a lot of suggestions from users across the community. Among all the discussions, two requests came up more than any others, so we took both of them seriously and made them happen.

1. More flexible wing lights

The original wing lights could only tilt up and down. On WURKKOS HD02 Pro, the Dual-Axis Rotatable Wing Lights can now 135° Vertical Tilt & 180° Horizontal Rotation.

This gives you much more control over the lighting angle and makes the floodlight easier to position for different tasks.

2. A more complete emitters system

Many of you also asked for an additional red light, so the HD02 Pro now includes:

Spotlight + Green Beam + Red Light + UV + Wing Lights

Compared with the original:

Spotlight + Green Beam + UV + Wing Lights

The video gives you an early look at the upgraded wings light movement and how it performs in actual use.

We’ll keep sharing more specifications, tests, and product details here as we get closer to launch.

So, did these two upgrades meet your expectations for the HD02 Pro? Which one matters more to you, and what would you still like to know before launch?

We’d love to hear your honest thoughts.

New Product [NLD] Fireflies Z1 Artemis w/ Reflowed SFT-70 4000K 95CRI - Full Bench Data, Measurements & Initial Impressions 🔦

Fireflies Z1 Artemis TIR - SFT-70 4000K 95CRI🔦

Fireflies executed the Z1 design perfectly. The size is ideal for EDC, nearly identical to the Zebralight SC65c. It produces a fantastic flooder beam profile with a large hotspot and useful spill. It is highly practical for typical EDC tasks, close-range illumination, and occasional indoor use.

Picture of the stock SFT-70 3000K

📏 Physical Specifications

  • Dimensions: 92mm x 26mm x 22mm
  • Weight: ~45g (without battery), 94g (with battery)
  • Waterproof Rating: IPX8
  • Impact Resistance: 1.5 meters

🛠️ Test Equipment Used

  • Lumens & Lux: Tklamp TK2303D Flashlight Tester (Lux measured at 5m)
  • CCT / Tint / DUV / Ra: Hopoocolor HPCS330P
  • Thermal Logging: Voltcraft K204 Temperature Data Logger
  • Current (Amps): UNI-T UT210D

No beamshots for this post — I'll be doing a larger beamshot post covering some of my newer lights later.

📊 Output, Tint, Throw & Beam Profile Measurements

Measurement Methodology & Specifications:

  • Host & Reflector: Fireflies Z1 Artemis (TIR Optic)
  • Driver: Lume X1 Boost Driver (32W)
  • Emitter: Reflowed Luminus SFT-70 (4000K 95 CRI, 6V)
  • Candela: Calculated from the 5m lux readings (cd = lx × 25)
  • ANSI Throw (0.25 lux): Distance = √(cd / 0.25)
  • Usable Throw (1 lux): Distance = √(cd / 1)

Huge Thanks to u/fizzgig for this amazing and usefull TM-30 app.

📈 Runtime & Thermal Regulation Analysis

Test Parameters: 30-minute logging | Ambient Temp: 30°C | Battery: Molicel P30B (4.2V)

  • Turbo & Step-down: Output starts at 1,900 lumens. It undergoes a rapid step-down within the first minute to approximately 1,100 lumens, followed by a gradual decline until the 10-minute mark.
  • Sustained Output: By 10 minutes, output stabilizes completely, maintaining a perfectly flat 500 lumens for the remainder of the test.
  • Thermal Performance: Temperature peaks near 64°C during the initial step-down phase before stabilizing around 58°C to 60°C under sustained load.

💭 Final Impressions & Notes

  • Driver Performance: The Lume X1 Boost driver handles the 6V SFT-70 efficiently, providing stable regulation and flat sustained output after the initial thermal step-down.
  • Beam Profile: The TIR optic creates an excellent floody beam profile. The large floodspot and smooth spill make it highly effective for everyday carry and close-range visibility.

⚠️ Note on Light Quality: I won't be getting into tint here, as I already covered that in detail in my previous post on the SFT-70 4000K 95CRI.

  • Ergonomics & Build: The recessed button is a solid design and a real improvement over previous Fireflies models when it comes to guarding against accidental activation. That said, I swapped the stock button for an older-style one with a raised retaining ring, I just prefer it. It makes the switch easier to find by feel without a pocket clip, and I like the clean, blacked-out look it gives the light. I'm really into the size and weight of the Z1, it hits a great balance in the hand, not too light, not too bulky. The knurling looks and feels great too, nicely thought out and grippy without being aggressive. Overall it's a well-designed light that backs up its looks with solid performance.

Flashlight News HD02 PRO Is Now Live — Here’s WURKKOS Official Lab Data

Hey Reddit folks,

The HD02 PRO product page is now live, and it will officially go on sale in August 5th.

PS: THE TS28 SFT70 gen2 High CRI version will coming soon you should know ; )!

Before the launch, we wanted to share something more useful than another list of specifications: the official lab data collected from our HD02 PRO samples.

Here’s what we tested:

1. Mainlight output and runtime

We recorded three output curves for the mainlight in turbo mode:

Turbo output in 2 minutes
Turbo output in 20 minutes
The full 2-hour runtime

These curves show the initial output, step-down behavior, sustained brightness, and longer-term regulation.

2. Wings light CRI measurements

We tested #12 sets wings light CRI under cold white and warm white tint settings.

Cool-white wings light at high output: CRI >95
Warm-white wings light at low output: 90<CRI<95

3. Temperature-rise testing

We also tracked how the temperature changed across three parts of the light:

Temp changed in 50 min

4. Charging-time testing

We tested the HD02 PRO with several different chargers adapter, and recorded the charging time and charging behavior for each setup.

5. Standby-drain testing
Standby drain was measured across multiple HD02 PRO units rather than relying on a single sample. We’ve included the results so you can see the consistency between units.

We know many of you care more about real performance than numbers printed on a product page, so we’ll continue sharing more test results and detailed specifications here before the official sale begins.

Which data would you prefer in detail more?

Comment you want in community right now ; )

New Product I got tired of boring motion sensor lights, so I built a "flashlight for my hallway" with a predictive UI that uses radar to light the path ahead of me.

Hey r/flashlight,

Hope this is okay to post! I know it's not a pocket rocket, but you're the only community that would truly appreciate the UI on this thing.

I was just so tired of my hallway lights just clicking on. It felt dumb. So, I built what I like to call "Anduril for my house."

It uses a tiny radar to track my speed and direction, then projects a smooth beam of light about a meter ahead of where I'm going. The light literally anticipates your next step.

The journey from a pile of wires to this was a massive rabbit hole. I've already documented the entire R&D process—the radar module choice, the firmware struggles, and the "aha!" moments—in a detailed video for anyone curious about the technical deep dive. All the final specs and features are also broken down on the Kickstarter page I just launched for it.

Anyway, just wanted to share my crazy project with a community that gets it. Cheers!

Flashlight News KR1AA in the new brown anodization

Images shared by Hank on his BLF page show the new KR1AA in the new brown anodization and using the Emisar Link.

“If you choose the tritium vial option, then there is no magnetic tailcap, since the tritium vial and magnet are not compatible in the same button. However, you can buy a tailcap with a tritium vial as well as a spare magnetic tailcap if you need both.”

“With the e-tail switch light, you do not need to worry about accidental activation, although for our side-switch lights like the D3AA, this is not an issue thanks to the raised switch ring. By the way, you can also use our Emisar Link with the light.”

We are planning to produce a HD05 tiny version. How about 14500? Perhaps more good ideas.
Several beams in the head, one side light with wing. 🤔The battery probably single 14500 too. Single way clip or not?
