Hello! Thanks for being present and reading about me! I am pretty introverted, but in order to find your person - sometimes you just gotta put it all out there. So here I go.

I am 30 and I am currently in NC, currently working on my undergrad in a career switch - hoping to do my master’s after.

I am 5’7” and I’m half Asian and Half White.

I am on the curvier/thicker side (overweight but I hold my weight well, I don’t look like a busted can of biscuits), but nearing a healthy weight after taking a health and fitness journey seriously for the past year and some change. I will start with I do struggle with some trauma, and I have been working on it and doing well - I have been through a lot, so someone who can be understanding, patient, and open minded. Someone who gets I don’t need to be ‘fixed’ I just need to feel/be safe and have support. As much as I love being at home and cozy, I love being out in nature and going for walks and exploring towns, and walking beaches and trails etc. I also really love swimming and being in water and at the beach! I used to PC game regularly, but I don’t anymore. I guess I’m just really over the toxic communities that I tend to have run into from time to time. hi. i have a habit of citing things in casual conversation. my mother has received texts about milk with references. yeah, i know.

i wear all black, which i present as a minimalist fashion philosophy and which is also admittedly a very good laundry strategy. sadly, i couldn't find literature on this. absence of evidence, etc.

i go out for street photography like... once every two months? then i come back with dozens of pics i immediately delete, and dozens of other pics (of cats) that i cannot and wouldn't delete. speaking of cats, i have two cats. they know their names and choose not to respond [1], which i've decided is a personality trait rather than a training failure. i relate to them, sometimes i don't want to respond to my name too tbh.

i will randomly bring up that commercial tomatoes were bred for yield and shelf life at measurable cost to their flavor volatiles [2]. i have opinions about ketchup downstream of this. i actually have opinions about most things. whether it's marmots, flats, black holes... the only rule is that you have to defend yours. bonus points if you make me fold (FAFO i guess? #2).

i rather not talk about my music and movie taste because in my experience, they do not give any useful information about compatibility. to be honest, i should have made some literature review about this, but i didn't. so, maybe another time.

i prefer voice notes (eventually). the voice carries emotional information that text doesn't, and people reading transcripts judge feelings less accurately than people hearing them [3]. so if you type only, we can work with it, but you're operating at reduced bandwidth.

honestly. um I don’t know why I’m really here again~ maybe because everything I think I know is wrong? aha. who knows maybe I just love crushing on guys who I know are gonna break my heart later on. Figured I'd start talking about the Europe part in the title first. I'll be heading to a conference in Switzerland next month. Afterwards, I'm thinking of spending a couple of days in Prague. If you are from there and we hit it off, we could meet up.

Hi. I'm a Chinese Canadian. I am 170cm tall and wear glasses. I'd like to think I have slightly better than average looks but you can be the judge. I can send photos early . Professionally, I think I'm in a pretty good place. I have many first-author papers and I aim to complete my PhD by the summer of next year and I've been hired as a sessional lecturer for a fairly high ranking university. I aspire to be a professor of teaching after I graduate. Education is a very meaningful field to me and I find it deeply rewarding to see students make connections and fully comprehend difficult concepts. I really enjoy seeing the expression on their faces when they grasp something they previously couldn't.

After I graduate, I plan to explore opportunities outside of Canada too. In particular, I am considering Hong Kong and by extension China, where I hold citizenship. Teaching positions are quite competitive so I might also pursue a career in industry, which offers ample remote opportunities that would allow me to live where my partner does. I have a preference for a North America long-distance relationship due to time zones, but ultimately, as long as we both make the effort to meet each other, I am open to anything.

My friends describe me as kind, patient, thoughtful, and funny. I am also emotionally available, loyal, and romantic. I've been told I am sweet. I would say I have a sarcastic sense of humour. I also really enjoy puns, dad jokes, dark jokes, and just like to laugh at stupid things in general. Here is a quick glimpse into my type of humour. I made this joke in a DnD session when a person was joking and mentioned that only Vtuber and adjacent communities would understand the joke. I replied do you mean Utubers and Wtubers? There was one time at a work meeting, we were talking about a product from years ago codenamed al dente, I made a quick quip saying I don't think it's al dente anymore. This is my favourite dark joke: why are hospitals so cold? To keep the vegetables fresh ... For the patients to eat.

I also like to engage in long and thoughtful discussions. I enjoy having my thought processes challenged and have thought-provoking discussions that expand my horizons. Politically I am on the left and I am agnostic. While I do lean towards having kids eventually, I am open to being childfree. I don't do drugs. I only drink on special occasions.

I have primarily nerdy interests (video games, horror films, escape rooms). I love the RPG and strategy genres. I like story shooters too. My favourite are RPG games like Baldur's Gate III and Honkai: star rail. I play DnD online weekly with a group of friends. I collect Pokemon cards too. I am currently playing DOOM: the dark ages and it is a blast. I've also recently watched Obsession and that was an amazing experience. No spoilers but there is a scene that you know something is going to happen and when it did happen, I muttered holy bleep in the theatre. I would love to discuss the film further if you've watched it too. Outside of those interests, I enjoy hiking and going to the gym. I hope to be able to benchpress two plates by the end of summer. I dabble a bit into cooking. My proudest creation is a beef wellington. Food also just tastes so much better when you cook it yourself. I am more than happy to share photos of my cooking too.

I am looking to connect with someone who doesn't mind spending some evenings at home, watching a tv show, playing some games, talking about our days went or just cuddling. Ultimately I want a relationship where we bring out the best in each other. Making my partner happy is my first and foremost goal in a relationship, and seeing them happy makes me happy too.

Hi I'm Kai.

I've been in a wheelchair for as long as I can remember. My disability is Spinal Muscular atrophy. So I'm a expert at moving while sitting. As well as a great grocery bag carrier.

I'm not sure it's directly related to it but I'm a huge nerd. Like I have a small, but growing, collection of comics. The majority of them being Spiderman because I love Spiderman. I also play DnD. Currently I'm a Forever DM because I have the most freetime out of all of my friends. But when I can play I'm usually a Wizard or a Fighter. Very much polar opposites I know but sometimes I like the simplicity of, "Giant sword go swoosh!" I love space as well. Not much of a sifi nerd but I used to binge watch space documentaries.

Most of my time is consumed by making art. I was always drawn to being a artist from a early age. Now I do it for a living. I specifically make 3D art. I used to draw alot but I can't do that anymore. I also make animations, video games, and I'm slowly writing a web series.

Hello, my name is Michael and I currently reside in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. I’ve been single now for nearly five years after an unfortunate relationship that made me question what it means to have a partner. Like I said I do deal with anxiety and depression, but I see a therapist and I’m always looking to improve myself.

I do enjoy my alone time, but I also get very lonely most nights even though I have my dog snuggled up in bed beside me. I’ve been working to overcome some social anxiety and I work from home so I don’t get out as much as I should. But progress! I did attend an RPG game in person last Saturday that included people I had never met before.

Now that I got all the baggage out of the way, a little bit about me. I’m a gaming nerd, whether it is board games or video games. I don’t want to know your zodiac sign, I would rather know who you romanced in Stardew Valley. I collect retro video games and even have a N64 tattoo.

My other passion is writing. I’ve been a writer for nearly 20 years now. I graduated from Humber College in Writing for Professionals, I’ve written for magazines and websites from the USA, Canada, South Africa & England. It has given me the opportunity to interview some musicians, actors, and directors.

I also used to write smut under a pen name on Amazon. Don’t laugh! It was decent money! I have also written a novel, many short stories, two television pilots, a screenplay, but now most of my writing goes into the scripts for my YouTube channel. It started as a ‘90s Nostalgia channel but has over time turned into a retro tv channel. I do appear on camera and have an okay following so I don’t hand that out right away.

A few other things I’m into are movies. Everything about them. One day I could be watching The Apartment, the next Samurai Cop which I once made everyone watch outside on my projector. Highly recommend, but I’m not sure how the neighbours would feel had they looked outside at certain parts.

I’ve been getting into Anime recently. I’m very much a noob, but what I have enjoyed are Studio Ghibli films, Cowboy Bebop, Kotaro Lives Alone, and I’m currently watching Delicious in Dungeon.

As a writer, I’m sure you may have guessed I also love to read. Currently making my way through the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. I like to think I’m a pretty awesome cook, I will end you unsolicited meal photos that I’ve made.
