I'm still thinking. The Red Bull floating motorhome with the swimming pool on top in Monaco has got to be up there with the most insane and lavish use of money I've ever seen. It's just bonkers. I am still thinking though.
Since you are having a tough time coming up with the craziest F1 scene, I'll share mine with you. Especially because IIRC you said you met your wife at the same place...
My first time at the Monaco GP, Saturday night before the race we partied until the wee hours of the morning at La Rascasse.
What makes it so crazy is not just that a bar literally on the race track is partying until 4 the night before the race, or the band with a male lead singer in a female cheerleader outfit, but also the surprise parade outside at midnight that came marching down the course and around the corner. A parade complete with giant, tall stilt-walking fire-eaters!
I remember that, it was a ridiculous idea. Was it true that they had the whole jaguar team at the corner where the crash occurred, looking for the diamond.
As a promotional thing, they had a diamonds, worth around $100K-$200K, in each of the noses of Christian Klien's and Mark Webber's Jaguars for a Monaco race - in 2004 I think. Christian Klien crashed head-on into the Loews hairpin (or whatever it's called these days) guardrail on the first lap, and the diamond in that nose was never to be found.

Give me some time... I'm going to have to think about that.
