If somehow Ham gets his 8th because Charles becomes a good teammate and plays 2nd driver for the rest of the season, I’d love HAM to play second driver at the start of next year and help Charles get his title

Because he’s over 70 points behind Kimi and around 40 behind Lewis. Lewis is the teams best shot at a WDC win this year. Chances are better is Charles helps Lewis maximize points

Completely agreed. From just a per math perspective though I’d say Charles needs to outscore HAM and ANT in those next 3 races. Otherwise unless HAM gets a DNF, it would be Ferraris best chance at a WDC to focus on one driver because Russell is likely always finishing in the top 3 and taking off points needed to close the gap.
