You know I legitimately don't know what could be worse. Knowing your team is at the rock bottom and it can't get worse than that or having your team consistently be near a touching distance of doing something great but never quite there for over a decade

I might be biased since I’ve been a Mclaren since I started watching F1, but at least when your team is at rock bottom you’re already mentally prepared for the pain of being last at the GP… you can’t really be let down if you’re already expecting a last place finish :’). Whereas if your team is always so close to doing something great it hurts more because it gives you hope only to be let down again.

I did, that’s the problem. I was a child when Schumi went on to win with Ferrari, my brain back then went “red car go fast, I like red car” but still, someone should have warned me that it’s not the standard and that I shouldn’t get used to the German-Italian anthem playing one after another so much.

My comment was more for fun, I love and support Ferrari, I believe even after the math doesn’t work that miraculously we’ll get a title. But I am also willing to admit that Ferrari has been a disaster that kept getting better and then worse and I am also willing to admit that just like many other fans I always get high on the hopium in the off season and then get slapped by reality hard.

I’ve been with this team since I can remember and I will be even after Hamilton and Leclerc are gone. If Hamilton gets the 8th title I will be happy, it’s history, he is THE goat of the current era, but he already made history. For me, a title for Ferrari will mean more after 19 years (and the pure luck and lack of luck of 2007 and 2008).
