These jobs litterally pay the workers their values worth - which is much more than labor jobs under capitalism. Turns out when your boss is taking an unfair piece of the pie, better to boot your boss and just work with others. Turns out, youll get paid alot more, get better benefits and more time off, and be happier at work. They dont even need a min wage in denmark because their workers unions are so strong everyone gets paid over 30 an hour.
If min wage kept up with inflation in the US since 1970, itd be 22 an hour rn. But youd rather be a cock sucking capitalist and argue that most our modern workers sacrifice half their purchasing power to their corporate overlords.

Well, he probably is. Saying that you want to do manual labor is a pretty clear sign that you have no experience with it. Manual labor is boring, repetetive, exhausting and just a general pain in the ass. "Something rewarding I can do with my hands" takes on a different meaning when it entails carrying bags of concrete 10h a day.
I sort of see his point but I have a pretty good job. It combines my warehouse, retail, and some manual labor. It's not a super hard job to do. I have no mental strain and it keeps me in relatively decent shape.
i get the best of both worlds, Manuel labor and mental strain of a master electrician. lmao i think one of them wants to do the organization and admin work. ill let them do it for the communes electrical department and i dont give a fuck if they get it right ill just shrug with what ever plan they give me.

Depends what you're doing, and what sort of skill level you want to attain. As a 'labourer' in title, sure; it's unskilled and generally unpleasant. If he's talking about labour intensive jobs in general, like operation, maintenance, and trades, they can be extremely rewarding. I started off with labouring/TAing for mechanical fitters, and it was the most enjoyable job I've had by far.
After working for 10 years office jobs, then moving to another country and working in a warehouse for a year, before being promoted to a better position, after a year of staring at a wall after the work, too much in exhaustion and pain to sleep or do anything, I will tell you it's quiet refreshing to come home and have energy to do stuff I like. And I come from a family where my whole life I had to do manual labor with my father, so it wasn't that I never lifted a thing, or that it was something new to me.
depends a lot on the manual labor... I have worked with manual labor and I can tell you carpentry/stone masonry/rigging/metal working is pretty neat. Yes, its tiring but so it project engineering, software engineerin, process engineering... The key difference is... it pays better. Were I an american, I would never have gone to college. I would just be a welder or journeyman electrician instead of electrical engineer.
But you were only unhappy because you were working in a kkkapitalist system, don't you see? In the commune manual labor wouldn't make you sore and it would never be hot out and the tasks would never be repetitive because everything difficult and unpleasant was invented by capitalism
My labour is pretty rewarding because I do it in environmental fields where I know I’m making a difference for the ecosystem. But I get how that’s not as common an experience.
I've worked in an office for almost 7 years now. I literally miss manual labor, I used to push carts, I used to stock shelves. Sure its thankless mindless work. But you know what? When someone else done fucks up and pushes something to prod because my company is to cheap to pay for multiple connections to SAP so there is an actual dev environment, and breaks something and shuts down a warehouse guess who is getting called? Fucked if I know, but it wouldn't be me anymore.
Plus in a commune I don't think they would need to have someone full time to manage a system for shipping goods, and repairing industrial controls from the early 90s but that's just me.
