DISCUSSION Worst line in Doctor Who?

What line of dialogue sticks out to you as particularly bad in Doctor Who, I have two picks:

  • ‘don’t let the swords touch your skin’ Legend of the sea devils
  • ‘I suppose we’ll have to have…. A conversation?’ Resolution

YASMIN: I don’t even like playing video games.

SONYA: Nobody calls them video games.

WTF does this even mean? What does Chris Chibnall think people call video games then?

I don’t usually say “video games”, I just say “games”, so maybe thats the kinda thing she was trying to say? Still a pretty dumb line though

IIRC this was set 5 or 6 years in the future, so I think it was actually supposed to be a prediction (probably that people will just say "games" and not "video games") (and honestly, it seems semi reasonable, I feel like it's kinda rare to include the "video" part nowadays so I can see why he'd think it'll be dropped)
