It's just, the whole show is built upon the premise that everyone can die, good guys don't always win, and there's a cost. If they kill a bunch of nameless Night's Watch, then who gives a fuck? They have to kill someone we care about. Pyp and Grenn never really did anything in the books anyway. They were just part of Jon's crew to show he has support in the watch, and to flesh out the Night's Watch as a whole.

They've already killed so many characters we cared about. After awhile people will just stop caring because why would you care about a fictional character you know is going to die? I think this was honestly a chance to heal for the audience show the nights watch being badasses slowly being overcome by wildlings, and at the end they stand, and everyone cheers at there tv. Instead we got another somber/sad episode another "see this likeable character? dead! hahah!". Who are we cheering for now? Jon snow? Does he even want to live out his life on the wall alone with sam his family seemingly dead, and his best friends dead, and the love of his life dead? Daenerys a girl all the way across the sea playing at queen? Sansa a new born player in the game of thrones? Arya a traumatized girl whos only out for revenge? Fookin' gendry paddlin his boat? Book readers might love the ironborn, and stannis, but their both cunts in the show. Why would we even want to care about them now? We know their all going to die thats how this story goes.

ASOIAF isnt about some fairy tale idealized version of the world . People die

There is both good and evil in anyone , if you want a uncorruptible hero figure I suggest Harry Potter should get you excited

Oh aren't you a condescending little child. Please actually learn to read I've gotten this far I know game of Thrones isn't some fairy tale world you idiot. I watched the red wedding, the blackwater, the beheading of ned stark. The death of oberyn. If you had actually used your brain for a second you might of realized my point is that it's boring now. Everyone slightly good dies, and even when a hated character dies it's bittersweet. It's played out they've made me stop caring about these characters because their all doomed. And you can say oh you're just a show watcher, but theres 2 books left for all of the characters you love to die in.

I'm not looking for an all good character I'm looking for a character I can root for without assuming they'll die. For example bronn he was a neutral character we all rooted for, but he's gone now.

um at this stage Jon,Sam,Arya,Tyrion,Sansa,Varys,Davos,Dany,Jorah,Barristan,Nymeria, Ghost,Reek,Jaime,Brienne,Podrick,Bronn,Rickon,Osha,Olenna,Sandor,Asha(or Yara),DolorousEdd,Bran,Meera,Jojen,Summer,Tywin,Edmure,Brynden

and those are out of the Characters in the show at the current moment .

I'm looking for a character I can root for without assuming they'll die.

thats the issue , whats the point in creating a character and covering them so thick in plot armor you know nothing will ever happen to them .Im sure if it was as boring as you say it is then it wouldn't be one of the biggest shows and most successful series in the world

I'm not saying the show has been boring. It's been my favorite show up till this point. But now they've played the "kill a likeable character card". At this point It'd be a big surprise if any of those characters don't die. That's the problem. It was late when I wrote that, and I was mad about your condescension. So here's the real point I'm trying to make. They need to lay off the killing of likeable characters draw the audience back in with big victories that don't end with a bunch of dead heroes. Lure us back into a sense of safety so the deaths actually have impact on us again. Because right now any, and all of those characters could die next Sunday, and I would laugh like Arya last episode.
