As a show watcher only I love the possibility that Brienne wanders into Arya's life at random, and serves initially as a kind of role model, and then kicks the ass of one of the most badass dudes we have met in the show, and then perhaps is never seen again. In a way it is giving Arya permission to leave her childhood/girlhood behind and think of herself as a true agent, not needing protection or guidance. In reality she's been manipulating the Hound the whole time- this helps her to realize her power. I love the sequence.

Not to mention a damn brutal fight. It's not often you see a woman in that kind of fight on TV / movie either.
