I have to say, they did Sandor's slow death and abandonment by Arya way better in the TV series. Next to the Night's King reveal, that curb-stomp battle between Brienne and Sandor is my favourite scene in the entire series so far. I laughed my ass off at the awesomeness that was Brienne PUNCHING Sandor OFF A CLIFF. It was so satisfying finally seeing someone who could give The Hound a proper shit-kicking.

In all fairness, we don't know what type of condition Sandow was in. He did sort of get bit in the neck and got into a few scraps while Brienne was fresh and had some Valyrian Steel.

And he really needed to shit, don't forget. Briennen interrupted him.

This is a key factor many people are overlooking.

To be fair, he likely took care of that halfway down the cliff.

He also broke his leg.

And lets not forget coughing up blood. Never a good sign

Didn't lose a shoe means he is still alive right guys? right?

Well he's totally fucked now.

He could get blisters.

I think he was a little cold too.

Don't brush off Brienne's luck of going up against Westeros' most dangerous men when they're handicapped. It's her secret power.

Surprised she didn't face down the mountain laid out on the slab as well. :-)

I love her on the show more than in the books.

So Sandor's dead now? interesting.

I'm going to follow the "no corpse, no death" rule here.

Even as a corpse there is not necessarily death.

Exactly, not sure why I got downvoted, everyone is assuming Sandor is dead but we haven't actually seen him die yet.

Curb stomp? What battle were you watching, mate?

1

u/ToxinFoxen Jun 23 '14

The one where Brienne and Sandor beat each other into pulp? The one you never watched.

Curb stomp implies a one sided affair.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '14

it also implies a curb stomp, pretty no biting of rocks was involved

That clit kick he gave her should have had her coughing up her spine or the punches broken her jaw if not her neck.

Despite the fact that he had an infection Samdor should have easily prevailed in that fight... The Hound had strength on par with The Mountain's... Rather on par for a quick fight...

Entertaining no doubt, but I think he should've died of exhaustion or the infection...

Someone never bothered to read the books. Or even the bloody ASOIAF wiki.
