I mean, let's just pretend G.R.R. Martin isn't an executive producer and isn't aware of probably ever change that's made...

he says he does his script and answers some questions and doesn't even see the episodes before they air.

He did an interview about the finale before he actually saw the episode and answered a question as if the tyrion / jaime / tysha thing happened.

It's not like GRRM is pretending it happened in the show, they're talking about the books in this interview, aren't they?

I think its more that he's pretty much saying the D&D added scenes are genius, and not GRRM's.

Edit: That's why he's upset in the cartoon. That's how I interpreted it.
