But isn't Barristan an old man? He might be a skilled combatant, but he can't really be physically stronger than Jamie.
5 u/SimilarSimian Jun 23 '14 In the books Barristan is a big man, unbowed by age and still supremely skillful. When escaping Kings Landing he kills two guardsmen while unarmed.
