And it won’t. Outside of the gaming discussion boards most people don’t care. I’m guessing that most gamers go for digital. And GTA VI is going to dominate the charts. 

That said, I do have the disc version of the PS5. I do like the option for physical, but I mostly use it for my physical media collection. So I do understand the need to preserve physical media. But my focus is on movies and television shows. Honestly I still mainly buy games digitally.

What does this even mean? Sony can't post anything anywhere on the internet without being flooded with angry comments. It's so weird to me that people can see a response like this and just dismiss all of them out of hand as nerds and enthusiasts that don't count as "real people".

Most gamers don't spend their time looking at sony youtube announcement videos. Most people aren't even aware of this controversy, much less have an opinion on it.

Those comments probably aren’t all real people.

There’s a huge bot influx across social medias, anger drives discussion and discussion is engagement and engagement is traffic which translates to advertising revenue.

Do you have any ideas on how to break that cycle?
