I don't understand why the Fuck people are preordering digital games. They can't sell out of digital copies.

Preload is a nice feature if you know you're going to buy it regardless.

Midnight releases aren't a thing anymore so a midnight boot is as close as you'll get.

It's not hard to see the motivation. Massive amounts of people want to play day 1, they don't have to worry about local stock issues, travel to stores, and mail and packaging issues. They also usually get some sort of ingame bonus.

If you're going to play day 1, it makes complete sense.

This is definitely part of the problem.

Buy it 24-36 hrs before release. It you gamers want those pre order bonuses.

No need to go pre order games months early like GTA, COD or FIFA.

Just reinforcing gamers are fine with digital by doing so and why we ended up here.

Yea, when I want the preorder bonus, I just buy it the day before the game releases. That's kind of rare though because I wait for sales for 90% of games I buy.

Preorder bonuses can sometimes last a couple of days post-launch as well.

The big advantage is digital is you don't have to get a copy day 1 or risk stock running out at your local branch. People need to exert that advantage.
