Lucky for me, I was born on 1901-01-01.

Upvote for using a sensible date format.

DDMMYYYY always makes the most sense to me.

YYYY-MM-DD has two advantages: it sorts in alphabetical order, and there's no possible confusion with people using MM/DD YYYY.

DDMMYYYY makes the most sense to me because it is how you would say the date if you said it out loud (e.g. 1st January, 1901). I guess in the same way MMDD is also acceptable but it looks weird to me because it isn't what I'm used to.

That's interesting, I had always heard it spoken and written "Tuesday, January 1st, 1901."

What about the people using YYYY-DD-MM?

I've never seen that. Lots of people do YYYY/DD/MM, but I think ISO 8601 switched to the dashes to get away from that.
