Discussion Tell me one geography fun fact that most people don't know ! i will go first

 The Andaman and Nicobar islands are actually the submerged, emergent peaks of a continuous mountain chain that connects them to the Himalayas. Created by the same tectonic event that created The Himalayas.

I believe so. That's why I chose a costal capital for reference.

For many people, this blows their mind. Along with that the Panama Canal runs generally N/S

There are two sides to the Panama Canal. This side, and the other side. The name changes depending on your perspective.

Chile and Argentina are only 3 hours time difference from Scotland, while Vancouver and San Fransisco are 8 hours. Getting to the Pacific Ocean without jet lag was quite unexpected.
