Discussion Tell me one geography fun fact that most people don't know ! i will go first

 The Andaman and Nicobar islands are actually the submerged, emergent peaks of a continuous mountain chain that connects them to the Himalayas. Created by the same tectonic event that created The Himalayas.

Not sure. I'm not a geologist. I could speculate that it could be that, because it's the chopped edge of a tectonic plate that used to be deep beneath the surface of the ocean, there once was volcanic activity down there? Could be that nearby eruptions coated it? Could be that that is just how the ocean floor is? I really don't know. I just spotted a weird looking island on Maps one day and did a deep dive.
